Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Too many times, abortion is used as a contraceptive/birth control, and that should not be, and a life is terminated.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
There is so much extra spending, it's not even funny. I was a State employee at one time, and had a Department Director call me because they had to spend such and such amount of money before Friday. I wish we had a plan to reward state employees that discover savings with a monetary reward. I would bet all kinds of savings ideas would come to light if we let State workers join in the process.
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
"Separation of Church and State" means the pastor shouldn't be telling the congregation "who" to vote for. But for some reason, the Church doesn't even talk about politics at all. As a matter of fact, many churches run away from politics so much so that you wouldn't even know there was an election coming. Pastors are generally afraid of the Government taking away their tax free benefits.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I don't think expanding Medicaid is the right direction for Kansas, especially since our Medicaid system is already a broken system. I have a child who falls in the high health risk category, and we are on Kansas Medicaid because their medicine is $3,000 per month. When signing up for Medicaid, the Kansas Medicaid processing center lost our paperwork twice, even though we hand-delivered the paperwork to the clearing house, twice. Their systems are so overloaded that it wouldn't be a good idea to put more people on this broken system. Then Medicaid denies to pay the medicine about every quarter and we have to call and explain why this is life-saving medicine needs to be delivered every 30 days.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Any law abiding person who wants to make a better life for themselves.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
There were 5 instances in 2019 when I voted against property tax increases. There were more times in other years, but here's a link to show my conservative stance on economic matters: https://www.cjonline.com/news/20190212/city-governing-body-rejects-property-tax-hike-for-topeka-metro-bus-service Then at the end of my term, I was the Chair of the Policy and Finance Committee and fought the social justice warriors when it came to forcing Topeka businesses to have LGBT preferences in their hiring practices. https://www.cjonline.com/news/20191111/city-committee-to-discuss-expanding-list-of-protected-classes-in-topeka Our effort to stop it succeeded.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I was a Topeka City Councilman from 2-15-2020 and Deputy Mayor of Topeka in 2017. I know how to reach across the aisle to get the job done. I sponsored the Topeka Public Nudity Ban, which had been tried multiple times. I got it passed unanimously (which never happens with policy issues).https://www.cjonline.com/article/20150818/NEWS/308189750

Yes

Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. I would support The Value Them Both Amendment 2. We need to do something about transgender males competing in female sports. 3. I wish we could go back to having Civics class in High School instead of "Social Studies". The kids graduating have no clue why everyone wants to come to America, why our country is the best in the world, and students certainly don't know their rights as a citizen.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
There seems to be a lot of demand for racism and stories of racism. But the demand seems to exceed the supply of real racist actions and stories.
