Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape, incest only during the first trimester. Mother's health primarily in the first trimester with very rare exceptions in the second trimester. No abortions should be allowed in the third trimester because it is safer to deliver a premature third trimester baby (for both mother and infant) than it is to perform an abortion.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

(Did not answer)

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Eliminate fraud, waste and abuse. Decrease size of government across all departments. Decrease entitlement programs Eliminate federal programs that would be better performed at the state and local level (e.g., get rid of the Department of Education).

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Taxpayers should pay off existing student loans only in exchange for service to the country such as serving in the military or such as health professionals serving in critical health shortage areas. In general, students should not take on student loans that they will not be able to pay back. Taxpayers should not be responsible for the poor financial decisions of students and their parents.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that the government should not endorse any one religion. Our current society has been trying to push faith out of the public square but it is important to remember that our Constitution prohibits laws that limit the free exercise of religion. Moral principles have and should continue to undergird the foundation of our government. Elected officials should not feel compelled to suppress their religious convictions in order to serve in public office.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I think that we should expand the role and availability of Health Savings Accounts. These pre-tax dollars would help make health care dollars stretch further. We need to have transparent pricing. You should be informed of the cost of non-urgent procedures up front. This would allow comparison shopping and place competitive pressure, which will result in lower prices. We need to stop requiring expensive, comprehensive health plans and allow people to choose lower cost options with limited benefits that better meet their immediate needs.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We need to be vigilant in monitoring radical terrorism at home. This should be our highest priority. We also need to be vigilant for threats outside the United States. I think it is appropriate to use the military overseas to combat this threat.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration should be open to all who desire to come here, but it should follow immigration laws. Priority should be given to those who can supplement critical labor areas.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God and Jesus Christ. I also believe that Judeo-Christian principles are the foundation for the principles delineated in the Constitution and that religious principles lead to a happier and more productive society.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

The primary purpose of government is to preserve liberty. I believe that limited government is the best way to preserve our liberties. I believe that excessive spending puts our liberties at risk. We are placing a huge burden of debt on our children and grandchildren that is unconscionable. I believe that religious principles provide the framework that allows our government to function effectively.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

(Did not answer)

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2nd Amendment should be protected. The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to allow citizens to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. There should be very few restrictions on gun ownership. I do support background checks and limitations for those who have been convicted of violent crimes. I do not support red flag laws because they do not provide adequate protections to the rights of the gun owner.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Health Care Reform that actually helps patients instead of bureaucrats and .insurance companies. 2. Tax reform that allows citizens to keep more of their hard-earned cash. 3. Entitlement reform that encourages recipients to improve their lot in life rather than trapping them in a never-ending cycle of poverty.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes and no. Most Americans are willing to live in harmony with others regardless of race. However, there are some who still fan the flames of racism. This includes whites who still promote the principles of white supremacy, but it also includes members of minority communities who seek to gain power and fortune by promoting perceptions of racism even when it does not exist.
