Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortions should only be allowed when the mother's life is in danger or in the case of incest.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

It is not that simple... Our Legislature doesn't do a good job budgeting and tends to place financial resources in the wrong places, for the wrong reason, to assist the wrong budget need. Throwing money at a perceived need has never been the answer... Our legislature needs to do the hard HOMEWORK to find solutions that satisfy the true needs of the State and fail to throw resources at pet projects and foolish initiatives. The fastest way to failure is trying to do too much with too little!

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Neither the Church nor the State beliefs and/or action should impact each other or influence decisions made by each. The Constitution guarantees that separation.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Focus on the consistent setting of rules for coverage; include coverage for pre-existing conditions; divide coverage into age ranges or bands to allow for flexing of coverage into areas most needed within ear range; make healthcare truly transparent in all aspects including provider performance, costs and records; instill competition among healthcare facilities; insist on complete billing and cost transparency of all costs (including "hidden or surprise costs) within all bills from all healthcare facilities and provider; and a uniform set of basic information requirements and background information retained on a single, fully accessible database platform to be available to all healthcare providers, facilities, healthcare insurance and management entities in an effort directed toward reduction in duplicative costs.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

While the immigration and naturalization laws are the specific domain of the U.S. Federal government, a strong and substantial immigration and naturalization policy that protects the people and interests of the U.S. and specifies a fair and orderly process whereby aliens can apply for citizenship is essential for our country. Moreover, coordination of State and Local jurisdictions with the Federal immigration laws is similarly essential to the safety and wellbeing of all Americans. I support the authorization of State and Local law enforcement to comply with Federal laws and statutes and assist and coordinate with the enforcement of Federal immigration laws and with the banning of Sanctuary States and Cities.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We often hear about tragedies, followed by remarks like “do something to make sure this never happens again.” Reality is the “somethings” never address the real issue — the perpetrator. It’s the perpetrator who uses the gun as an instrument to carry out his plan. I support enforcing existing gun laws and protocols that would illuminate the mental illness of people before allowing them access to guns and other dangerous weapons.

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Financial and Fiscal Responsibility Issues; Educational Choice with state educations funding that follows the student; Revision of recent oil & gas legislation that ran counter to the will of the voters in ballot questions and the recent actions of COGCC related to unreasonable and unproven distance burdens both that and has the effect of ending oil & gas business (largest tax base) in this state.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes and we all, as a society, should work hard to address racism and find ways to alleviate it. However, when Constitutionally allowed peaceful protests degenerate into violence, destruction of the property of others and the state, looting, arson, and, in the case of Portland, OR the locking of police officers in their precinct building and attempting to burn down the building and in the process commit murder... Those responsible should be held responsible for their actions and we should demand that District Attorneys prosecute this felonies to the fullest extent of the law. District Attorneys that refuse to prosecute should be immediately removed from their positions on the basis of not performing their jobs.
