Questionnaire

Please note: Responses are entered electronically by the candidate and are listed verbatim.

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if required to SAVE THE LIFE of the mother (not merely to avoid health challenges). Fortunately, that circumstance no longer exists with 21st Century medicine.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Remove all government healthcare spending, reduce the size of most government agencies and eliminate some agencies altogether. I would also invite private industry to submit unsolicited proposals to outsource virtually any state government service.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Specific theology about God are not to be advanced by governments beyond what is implied in the Declaration. So it is arguable that governments may not fund a nativity scene. But the acknowledgment of the existence and authority of God by government entities is no way in conflict with the First Amendment. Otherwise, the Declaration of Independence, believed by many in 1789 to be the original Bill of Rights, would itself be categorically unconstitutional. A citizen is incapable of violating the First Amendment. As is evident with every one of the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment was never intended as a restriction on citizen behavior. It is a restriction on government alone. A valedictorian does not violate the First Amendment by proclaiming to her fellow graduates that she believes in Jesus Christ as her savior. But a school district that establishes a rule prohibiting her statement is in direct violation of the First Amendment.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

By entirely disengaging all levels of government from healthcare and allowing natural law (free markets) to work as the Creator intended.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration should be limited to people who deeply value the American founding principles of the Declaration of Independence, recognizing that our rights come from our Creator and that the purpose of government is to ensure those rights. Immigrants should be self supporting (no public assistance) and their numbers should be limited to the degree where they are assimilated into American culture far more than adding their own influence.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ of the Bible is my Lord and my savior. I pursue understanding of Scripture for my life values and the Declaration of Independence for my policy values.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Primarily having an international upbringing that included receiving a deep appreciation for American founding principles from Colegio San Antonio Abad (http://csaapr.com).

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

#2: I am in favor of a wall and other infrastructure on our border that gives control over ENTERING the United States. I do not believe that there should be any restrictions on EXITING the United States #4: I believe that governments should not be trusted to define marriage AT ALL. There should be NO licensing of the religious institution of marriage #6: The government's role in health care insurance should be to require that every citizen be responsible for their own health care expenses (let them decide whether to insure themselves). I do see a role for the government providing catastrophic insurance for the indigent #11: This is the best way to maintain peace from foreign enemies. Domestic peace requires strong moral character from leadership in churches, elected officials and law enforcement #12: Taxpayers should fund K-12 but all education should be private, not public #16: I support FEDERAL legalization of marijuana #17: I believe there should be NO protected classes AT ALL

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Keeping guns out of the hands of people with violent convictions, including mental health patients who are violent. All legal gun possession restrictions should apply equally to government.

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Limits on the Governor's authority to extend emergency orders beyond 30 days 2. Increase the authority of parents to choose education options for their children 3. Permit counties to grade dirt roads without having to obtain permission from 8-1-1

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Liberals are a threat to domestic security and they use racism as their primary tool.
