Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

My personal opinion: Never. It is horrible. There are many alternatives. People that choose to have sex understand that there is a consequence. My official position: Government should not be involved in such decisions, ever. When a lady finds out she's pregnant she never thinks, 'Let me call my Congressman to see what they think'. She calls her significant other, her parents, her family, her friends, her physician, her spiritual advisor, but never once does she think she should call a lawmaker. I think if we give government the power to say abortion can be illegal then we give them the power to say it should be legal too. If government has power over this area what power will they take next? The power to force tax payers to pay for abortions (with things like subsidies)? The power to force insurance companies to cover abortions? Those things are wrong and should not happen. My goal would be to take away the power of the government in this area & leave it to the individual.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

All of it. Government is too big. Military Industrial Complex is outrageous. I've got lists of things that should end (all outside the scope of this office). On a state level, most things funded by the state should be left to local governments. State taxes are too high. Spending is wasteful & authoritarian.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Neutral

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that, as stated in the First Amendment, that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free-exercise thereof". As I said in a previous answer, there are good things in all religions. Taking some of those teachings into secular law is not a bad thing, but when those teachings go against the religious beliefs of another that is where they overstep the First Amendment. Examples: Blue laws should be abolished. Sin tax should be abolished.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Get government out of the way. Remove all laws that were written by insurance companies, for the benefit of insurance companies, under the guise of helping the people. There was a time in this country when people didn't need health insurance for ordinary things like annual exams of vaccinations. The costs were lower because regulation creates overhead. Insurance billing creates overhead. Catastrophic coverage was all that was needed. As little as 20 years ago, I could afford my daughter's routine care out of pocket. It was tough, but it could be done.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Neutral

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Disagree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone that wishes to immigrate should be allowed to immigrate. Exceptions to that are un-rehabilitated violent offenders. Immigration law needs a complete overhaul. It should never take 10 years to move across a border. It should not cost tens of thousands of dollars. Most people in this country came here through immigration. If people were allowed to freely immigrate and emmigrate it would be easier to ensure the tranquility of our nation. The Declaration of Independence specifically addresses the king's interference in immigration as one of the usurpations of natural law.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Disagree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in a higher power. I believe some Christian teachings are good. I believe some Buddhist teachings are good. I believe some Islam teachings are good, especially since they align so closely with Christian teachings & believe in the same God, the God of Abraham. I spent a great deal of time studying different religions & I believe that all of them have something good to offer the world. I do not believe in organized religion. I was raised Episcopalian, Lutheran, Catholic, and Presbyterian. I occasionally attend Christian churches for peace and guidance. I find man made religion to be corrupt and an authoritarian governing system. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that we should all love our neighbor & not judge, as instructed. The best of all of the religious teachings, that aligns most closely with my political beliefs is: Don't hurt people & don't take their stuff.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am neither. To me, that is the wrong question. Are you a liberal or a conservative? No. The question is, are you libertarian or authoritarian? Do you believe that people should have the freedom to do as they wish as long as they do no damage to someone else? On an economic level, I am a libertarian. On a social level, I am a libertarian. On a religious level, I am a libertarian. Do you believe people should have Free Will as the Christian God allows, or do you believe that the force of law should make people follow your ways? Laws are enforced by people with guns. Every law created comes with the threat of death if you do not obey. Do you think it is good to kill people that don't agree with you? That's like the media propaganda of Sharia Law.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have studied the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of Colorado, I have read & understand the history of the Declaration of Independence (I see the same infringements that the Colonists complained to the British King about happening again today). I hold the protections in the Bill of Rights dear to my heart. I have volunteered in politics since 2012. When a bill comes out I actually read it! (Have you read the CARES Act? That is a scary piece of legislation.) I do not want to be a Congressman. Am I qualified? I would be good at the job, but my idea of pursuing happiness is not to hang around politicians all day. I run so that people can hear the voice of liberty. To remember that we all must stand against tyranny, in all it's forms.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

2: Germans built a wall. 3: Governments should not discriminate against anyone. 4: Marriage is not Holy Matrimony. 7, 15: Common sense is necessary for our system of limited government. Judeo-Christian values are trying to grow authoritarianism in government. https://sharialaw.com/ Do the research. Similar to Christian law. 9: 2 part question. Religious liberty has the highest protection, under the 1st Amendment. It is not the government's fault that churches refuse to take advantage of the free-exercise clause & hold services in defiance of the governor's edict. 10, 12: No subsidies. 14, 16: Individual liberty, personal responsibility. 17: No protected classes. Everyone is equal under the law. Private organizations are free to be bigots. 20: Funding should be reduced for everything, but picking a pet reason is crony capitalism. 22: Unless some start stoning people, claim the divine right of kings, oppress people, or use law to prohibit free-exercise of another religion.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Neutral

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Disagree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. The People should be equally armed to their government in order to preserve liberty. Question 11: I oppose a standing army in any form. The Military Industrial Complex is too big. The common man can't overcome the might of the American Military in the face of tyranny. It was meant to be just big enough to defend our country, not police the world, much less citizens. If the people want to arm themselves equally to the police or military they should be able.

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Repeal - so many things. That is all. Government is too big. The only legislation I will author or sponsor during my 2 year term, if elected, will to be to repeal legislation, regulations, and rules. The only exception to repeals would be legislation that limits the power of government in the state of Colorado even further than they are already supposed to be limited. Government should not be involved in every aspect of our lives. Government should be so small that the average citizen doesn't notice its existence.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism in America is definitely a problem. Religious point of view: God made all of us. Then we were instructed to love our neighbor. It didn't say what kind of skin our neighbor had. We instructed to not judge others, didn't say anything about choosing skin colors not to judge. Fact: Black men receive higher penalties & longer sentences than their white counterparts in the American "justice" system. Do police kill black men? Yes. Do police kill white men? Yes. Do black lives matter? Absolutely. I do not support the Black lives Matter organization because many of their leaders support authoritarian ideals. I do not participate in riots or property destruction. It goes against my ideals of Don't hurt people & don't take their stuff. Therefore, I do not condone this type of action. At the same time, I absolutely understand what led them to this behavior and see that it is working. Qualified Immunity is wrong. With individual liberty comes personal responsibility, QI overrides that.
