Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Based on the tragic events happening in cities such as Minneapolis and Seattle, people have the right to protest but not the right to destroy property. The military should be able to deter any threats they have been happening irrespective of the wishes of state and municipal leaders. Furthermore, defunding and deactivating police forces in cities will set a dangerous precedent for similar actions against county/parish sheriff's departments and statewide departments of public safety/highway patrols.
