Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Those deemed appropriate by the woman and physician treating her.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Military, IRS, DEA, Penal System and others on the Federal level. At the state level I would address the aforementioned entities counterparts.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

In short the government can not force religion or its tentaments on people through legislation.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

To address healthcare I would start by reviewing what is already available and improve upon that by advocating for a combination of public and private healthcare options. I would seek to reduce and eliminate unnecessary tax burdens, open up revenue streams and work with communities to provide access to vulnerable and underserved populations.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone, with a few exceptions, who is willing to live here peacefully by our laws and wants to work and contribute to our society should be welcomed after completing a citizen process. I believe we should reexamine how we do immigration and completely revamp the system.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe God gave everyone free will to decide for themselves who and how they serve who they call God, whether I agree with their decision or not they should not I believe it is important to protect the right to worship and choose who we call God for ourselves.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I believe if we are going to take peoples money we should at the very least spend it wisely and be accountable for what is spent. I also believe people have the right to peacefully live as they see fit so long as they are not hurting others. I believe I have well rounded and unique insights into the challenges we are facing today. I believe in seeking solutions and collaborating with all stakeholders in order to create and advocate for a pathway to positively impact as many people as possible.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am college and professionally educated. I have lobbied and authored legislation to address areas of concern. I have attended and collaborated with organizations in my community as well as establishing or being a part of organizations of my own. I have lived, built and maintained a life here Des Moines, and have had opportunities to see my community in good and bad times. Living here has helped me gain insight on the challenges facing Iowans today and in the future. The experiences ignited in me a desire to find effective solutions to some of our most pressing issues in order to create a better future for not only my children but for future Iowans as well. When elected I am ready to put forth necessary legislation to assist Iowans in peacefully and boldly living their best lives.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No to both.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Questions on this survey where I choose neutral were too nuanced for a yes or no. As there would be areas I would consider supporting or opposing after further review or I simply don't agree with government involvement to provide an adequate solution.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Little to none. I believe information, education and proper instruction lead to a healthy respect for lives and the tools used to protect it and only under the strictest of standards should the right to defend oneself be infringed.

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Tax Solutions Outreach Youth Initiatives Advocacy in Action or ToyA for short. I plan to address these issues by focusing on 1. Criminal, Civil and Family law Reforms 2. Hemp and Cannabis Legalization 3. Effective, Efficient and Economic Resource Management

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes. It has been America's elephant in the room for so long and it's time that we address it head on. It has been maintained systemically through the educational system and judicial branch via codification of racism in the law. It has been used as a means to justify legally abusing people simply because of their skin hue, ethnicity, religion or other personal choices or factors sometimes beyond a persons control. It has allowed people who have power to inflict harm, and then in many instances, walk away without accountability for their harmful actions. It has destroyed families and communities, and if allowed to continue at its current rate, this nation could be next. It is time to heal wounds, make amends and move this nation towards rehumanizing people and encourage a healthy respect for the uniqueness that is each of us and that when we honor those differences we produce vibrant dynamics that benefit this nation as a whole.
