Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Neutral

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Neutral

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

This is a tough topic, even in the libertarian sphere. I am in favor of the most limited government possible and I believe this is not an issue in which government should be involved. That’s not saying I’m for or against it, but I believe we can do better than what we are without government. This should be a decision left up to the smallest possible groups or individuals. Communities should be allowed to decide that if they do not want the practices in their area, they are free to do everything (non-violent) in their power to remove those who would. I believe education and fostering personal responsibility within our youth is the absolute best way to fix this issue. If children are taught the consequences of their actions and held accountable for them, we will start seeing more personal responsibility and a decline in unwanted pregnancy. The best part about this approach is, it isn’t forcing anyone to do anything and it is teaching them to do what is right in the first place.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security is a blight on our nation. The government saying that the people are not responsible enough to save for retirement and that they need to do it for us, is the biggest scam in the nation’s history. The funds are used as interest free loans that are repayed at a loss due to inflation. I believe we need to make the system voluntary and allow those who have payed in, to cash out if they please. The government would have to sell off assets they have no place in owning in the first place to do so, and that is a win-win. Retirement funds should be left up to each individual.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

(Did not answer)

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

(Did not answer)

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

(Did not answer)

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The healthcare industry as a whole is one of the most heavily regulated in human history. Government interference has destroyed the market and it is no longer recognizable as an economic industry. There is no other area that the 2 parties exchanging goods/services have no clue what it will cost. Insurance companies and government have paired up to profit while everyone else suffers. Regulations and restrictions must be reduced, bringing this back to an actual free-market, where competition and desire drive it. More competition brings better quality and lower prices. 40 years ago, medical care was affordable out of pocket and the major change has been heavy involvement from government and insurance.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We need to stop policing the world and engaging in unconstitutional regime change wars. The “terrorism” we face is all political blowback from decades of invading countries, changing their leaderships, installing despots in power, and destroying lives and homes. Our government is now seeing the horrific repercussions of their actions and it is against our citizens. Obama and Bush have completely decimated the Middle East, caused a genocide in Yemen, drone bombed several countries and killed millions of innocent lives, cost the country trillions, and cost families here the lives of their children that signed up to serve for freedom, only to be used as pawns.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Neutral

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Neutral

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Neutral

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Disagree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

(Did not answer)

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Neutral

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

No Answer

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe spirituality is a critical part of many peoples’ lives in our country and can be a valuable contribution to society. Our founders realized how critical this was and enshrined this right in the 1st amendment and I think it is paramount that we keep these rights defended. Every individual deserves the right to worship in the way they see fit.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Being a libertarian puts me not fitting easily into either category. I can feel at home or completely foreign in both sides. I believe all individuals have to right to live the life they choose and that makes them happy as long as it does not hurt anyone or inhibit anyone else’s choices. The government should retain the role of protecting these rights and that is it. I am purely free-market and private property as far as economics go. I believe in the right to defend our country, but being non-interventional for our foreign policy. Immigration is a muddy concept and there are options to improve things, but until we have true private property laws, optimizing the system we have now is the best bet.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

(Did not answer)

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

(Did not answer)

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Neutral

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

(Did not answer)

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Neutral

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Agree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Restoring the 2nd amendment to it’s original intent of unfettered firearms ownership for self-defense, Reforming or replacing the VA as the healthcare for veterans, and creating a voluntary Social Security and Medicaid system.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
