Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

No Answer

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

No Answer

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

No Answer

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

All life is sacred and needs protection. The promotion of preventive reproductive services is necessary for economic growth and citizen well-being. These services include: Performing Cancer Screenings Having STD Testing Providing Birth Control They lessen the economic burden of the neediest Louisiana citizens on the government while improving quality of life for all.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

No Answer

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

First, SS windfall provision needs to be addressed to make sure educators aren't short changed. Second, not cutting the payroll tax which would deplete Social Security by 2023, making it insolvent and unable to make ANY payments. Third, increase the payroll tax on high earning individuals. Fourth, increase the number of quarters that must be paid in order to collect.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Our national debt jeopardizes the future of our state and our country. The 2017 Tax Cuts have added trillions to the deficit. I fully support a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. This would force both parties to clearly and consistently stake out their priorities.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

If the student is employed in a public service field. These positions are typically underpaid and are accepted as a civic responsibility. As such, we can help them out - to an extent. If students, and especially veterans, have been duped by for-profit schools, then the government must attempt to recoup all costs and damages incurred by those students.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

No Answer

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

No Answer

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

No Answer

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The state cannot infringe on the rights of individuals or businesses to practice their religion, so long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. No religion has privilege over another in the government's perspective.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

No Answer

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

No Answer

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Healthcare. Freely accessible preventive care and screenings minimize healthcare costs, especially to those most vulnerable to crippling expenditures. Furthermore, it is far cheaper for the government in the long-term to address maladies earlier before a condition becomes a chronic disease. The government must negotiate more aggressively at the state and Federal levels with the healthcare industry to control costs. The primary reason costs in the US are so high compared to other industrialized nations is the system’s deliberate inefficiencies which benefit insurance and pharmaceutical corporations. Employer-based health insurance has resulted in 5.5 million Americans losing health insurance in the middle of a pandemic. This is not acceptable.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

No Answer

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Stop meddling in nation creation. The CIA created a radical Iran through political interference. We created the Taliban by leaving a power vacuum in Afghanistan after the defeat of the USSR. We need to follow through on our obligations internationally but pull back once a viable democracy has been established. Furthermore we need to assess our current relationships in the Middle East. Most 9/11 terrorists were Saudi nationals, yet we continue to support Saudi Arabia?! How is this consistent with our national security?

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

No Answer

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

No Answer

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

No Answer

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

No Answer

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Skilled labor - only once the potential employer has exhaustively documented efforts to find such labor in the US. Refugees - this is a moral obligation, but the applicants have the responsibility to demonstrate danger to themselves and their families.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

No Answer

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

No Answer

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

No Answer

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus came for all, especially those that society marginalizes. In our idolatrous culture that values power and wealth over human life, I believe that those citizens with the ability to assist the elderly, the impoverished, the young, and all other disenfranchised groups have a moral obligation to do so. Otherwise, we are only Sunday morning Christians. In fact - this disconnect between the words of Christ and the actions of Christians has led to the decline on the church in the US. The rampant hypocrisy pushes away those spiritually seeking truth.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am running for US Senate because the government only helps those who pay for that help, leaving the middle class to grow smaller year over year. Where does that leave us? Forced into poverty as our taxes fund corporate bailouts? I can be a voice for the middle class, since I am firmly from the middle class. Our current representation seems to have forgotten about us, or just doesn’t care.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

No Answer

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Our constitution guarantees the rights to firearms, therefore as Americans that right is sacrosanct. However, we need to be honest with ourselves about the general public’s ability to kickstart a revolution given the Federal military spending levels. Efforts to curb gun violence are not firearms issues; they are economic issues. Crime and violence are symptoms of poverty. Increased gun ownership has not been linked to increased violence. What has been linked to increased violence is poverty.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

No Answer

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

No Answer

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

No Answer

The Electoral College should be abolished.

No Answer

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Higher Education Funding. 2. Infrastructure. 3. Voting Rights.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, we are the United States, and racism divides us. At a governmental level, marginalized populations have less incentive to defend institutions that are hostile or apathetic to said populations' well-being.
