We have work to do in tort reform as well as creating incentives for small business to offer insurance as a benefit to employees. We must allow the market to work and not try a one size fits all approach. In addition, we need to create more opportunities for qualified students to attend medical school, nursing programs, PA programs, etc to improve our access to medical care.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We have a labor shortage in many areas. Immigration, I feel, needs to be tied closely to available jobs, with the understanding that if the jobs are seasonal or temporary then the immigration is also time specific. I have been in positions of leadership through out my career, and that is evidenced by my current chairmanship of the Florida Citrus Commission. I am an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sebring as is my wife Tammy. I have always felt James chapter 5 vs 12 set an example for how we should approach our lives. Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a threat as we continue to see almost daily. While it may not be the threat to overthrow our government, we must look for ways to improve upon our current situation. That to me means creating awareness, training of those in position of authority, and improving upon the current education system. We will never eliminate hatred and racism but we must work to not allow it to be prevalent in our society. While I think government plays a role in this, as a society we must do better and not look to our government to fix all of societies problems.
