What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Everyone must have the right and freedom to worship as they wish. The government cannot mandate a religion that we must all follow or prevent anyone from stating their beliefs or practicing them. Separation of church and state is a secular, extraconstitutional phrase that must be identified as such. It is a common misconception that it is in the constitution. Our Constitution simply says that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." You cannot find the words "separation", "church", or "state" in our First Amendment or in any other portion of our Constitution. Even after we settle that concept for the general populace, arguing still continues with respect to the original intent of our Founders. All of this "argument" is merely worldly deception. The Congressional Record documents our Founders repeatedly, from June 8 to September 25, 1789, framed the First Amendment with the history of what they had ....
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Uncertain. I have always been very much against Obamacare from the beginning since I believe in a free market approach to everything. In fact, Obamacare effectively cancelled my son's and my personal insurance, the retiree benefits that my husband had worked 30+ years for. I am a free market economist by training and beliefs. The "old system" was far better in my book whereby those who worked earned insurance as a benefit of their employment. Yes, the government's job is to alleviate problems when the market does not work. Nevertheless, Obamacare created problems rather than fixing them. Regardless, we now have a mess that I am not clear as to how to fix.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
(1) Indian River Lagoon and bringing funding to help restore the health of this important environmental gem along with Florida's water quality generally (2) alleviate some of the gun control wrong-doings that have occurred in the past which I believe infringe on our Constitutional rights and (3) restoring some common sense and order to higher education legislative oversight and appropriations.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Certainly. The events of the past few weeks have highlighted racial tensions in our current society. Violence and looting in response to police brutality has illuminated or, better stated, given a glimpse into racial tensions. But domestic security problems in our society go far beyond racism and cannot be tied merely to that. It is a black and white, stark contrast of hate versus love, good versus evil, across the board. Evil is having a hay-day. Evil emotions need not rule the day. We must have endless patience, never get irritated, be unoffendable, not argue, not hate and stop name calling. We need to listen, be patient, to hear, to love, to understand, to collaborate, to be respectful, and to have integrity. But we must also speak up for ALL our rights, not be silent, but speak with integrity, respect for others, never allowing the left to continue its dangerous program of cultural destruction, of dehumanization, of economic destruction and suppression of liberty.
