Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I value both the lives of the mother and the baby through all of its life stages. There are also extenuating circumstances that we need to address with compassion, empathy, and with grace for women in their individual life experiences.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security is on an unsustainable path that we must address. Congress has the responsibility to the American worker who have paid out their whole life to have this benefit during retirement. We must create a safety net for our aging seniors now and engineer a modern strategy for the future that is sustainable. In good faith, we must respect American workers contribution to their financial security.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I strongly support a balanced budget amendment. I’d review government subsidies. We’re essentially just shuffling trillions of dollars around that are not trickling down to the actual people in need. We should look at how the government does business and where bureaucratic fat is excessive.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Government taxpayers are already paying a large portion of student debt via subsidies (ie grants, subsidized loans, etc.) Taxpayers shouldn't pay off student loans.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The intent of our Founding Fathers was to protect religion. The phrase "separation of church and state" is not found in the Constitution. However, it is the interpretation of the establishment clause by the Supreme Court that the government must maintain a neutrality toward religion. It reinforces our legal right to freely live out our faith without fear of coercion from the government.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Obamacare has dramatically increased insurance costs, limited individuals' insurance choices, and resulted in lower quality medical care. I will work to reverse its negative effects. Fundamentally, we must ensure that high quality healthcare remains accessible, affordable, and portable. I favor enacting laws that increase the flexibility of pre-tax Health Savings Accounts so that individuals can buy insurance with tax-free funds. I also support laws that allows "pooling" by associations, religious groups, and small businesses so that people can buy insurance at lower, group rates. I believe that we must act to ensure that Social Security and Medicare remain financially solvent and available for our seniors.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

There are several things the United States can do to eradicate radical Islamic terrorism: 1) Stop foreign aid to all governments that support and aid radical Islamic terrorism; 2) Impose economic and financial sanctions on those same governments; 3) Give moral support to those who within those governments who are fighting radical Islamic terrorists inside their countries; 4) Make sure we secure our borders and thoroughly vet all immigrants from within those countries; and 5) Targeted use of special forces to destroy terrorists and its resources.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Currently the list of immigrant visas are sufficient but some immigration policies that are being taken advantage of should be under review. Spouse of a U.S. Citizen Fiancé(e) to marry U.S. Citizen & live in U.S. Intercountry Adoption of Orphan Children by U.S. Citizens Certain Family Members of U.S. Citizens Certain Family Members of Lawful Permanent Residents Employer Sponsored – Employment Employment-Based Immigrants, including (preference group): • Priority workers • Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees and Persons of Exceptional Ability • Professionals and Other Workers • Employment Creation/Investors Religious Workers Iraqi and Afghan Translators/Interpreters Iraqis Who Worked for/on Behalf of the U.S. Government Afghans Who Worked for/on Behalf of the U.S. Government Returning Resident

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The centerpiece of my belief is placing God first and like the scriptures share, to love my neighbor as myself. What that means to me is demonstrating integrity, honesty, perseverance, and the greatest of these core values, love. It is my faith that guides and sustains me with hope for a better day for myself, families, and for our great country.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

www.venniaforcongress.com

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I'm running for office for one simple reason. I want to get things done for Orlando and the I-4 corridor, and I want to expand economic opportunity for more people. As a first-generation American, born, raised, and educated in Orlando, this community is near to my heart. I don't want to play the political games or have our congressional clout hijacked by partisan interests. For me, is is about jobs, families, and the American Dream. You can be confident that I will listen, be your voice, and collaborate in order to bring solutions that will move our country forward. I ask for your vote and support. Thank you

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Neutral

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I'm a pro 2A. Public Safety is a concern and people suffering from mental illness can be a danger to themselves and others. The second amendment limits the federal government but gives state government more latitude here.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Taxes and Regulation, Human Trafficking, Healthcare, Transportation Pres. Trump's first round tax cuts was good, but we need to be even bolder especially coming off the Covid-19 crisis. I would like to see us flatten out the tax categories even more for individuals and then do away with inheritance taxes. Annual wealth tax being floated by the Democrats is a bad idea and I would stand against it. We are choking our economy to death with regulation beyond reasonable. Our banking, insurance, and healthcare industries suffer through many layers of rules that even the federal employees have trouble describing or even enforcing. One measure I would favor is having an annual agency presentation to Congress that included a time to try to obtain pre-approval for agency rules. Many of these rules are an attempt by agencies to legislate, and it needs to stop. Human Trafficking, find extra resources to bolster our policing efforts and bring the purveyors of this horrible industry to ju

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

There are times that it can rise to the level of domestic terrorism in extreme circumstances.
