Questionnaire

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The life of the mother.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

Socialism provides a robust foundation for a stable economy.

Strongly Disagree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Minimize taxes and regulatory impediments to allow businesses to grow and prosper. As they grow they will hire and train new employees and those new workers will provide extra tax revenue to allow a surplus to build to allow for a rainy day fund and to eventually allow for lower taxes.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The Government should get out of the way by limiting taxes and unnecessary regulation. While everyone wants to ensure health and safety we do NOT need excessive regulation and paperwork. The government should protect against unfair foreign trade practices and promote American goods abroad.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

1. End the health care system’s dominant fee-for-service payment practices (which reward providers for their quantity of services, not the quality or efficiency) and move to a patient-focused, cost-effective, value-based care (where providers are compensated based on effectiveness). 2. Require Medicare to directly negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies. 3. Broadly implement easy-to-understand health care pricing transparency

National Security

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

Education

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Strongly Disagree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.

Strongly Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The recognition that "All Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights" led them to declare Independence and write the Constitution which divided the legislative, executive and judicial powers of government into three separate but equal branches to act as checks and balances to prevent any one from too much power.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a devout Christian. I try to live as a Christian should but recognize that I am a flawed person. I try to live each day with a sense of justice but also a sense of compassion for others.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I believe in traditional American values. I have strong Christian beliefs but recognize that other religious beliefs (or lack thereof) deserve equal protection under the law. Freedom of Religion is guaranteed by the Constitution but that does not mean freedom FROM religion. While no religion should be established as the official government religion, neither should government attempt to prohibit anyone's free exercise of their particular beliefs either. I believe that the Government should help those truly in need but that it should NOT dictate every aspect of our lives. The best government is the least government. The government should stay out of your bedroom, your Church, your child's sexual education and your business to the maximum extent possible.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have undergraduate degrees in Political Science and History as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I have three decades of experience as a member of the military, a Federal employee, a consultant and a small business owner. I am a Certified Purchasing Manager C.P.M. and a Certified Professional Contract Manager CPCM and served as a warranted Contracting Officer for a number of different agencies. I understand not only the theory of how government should work but also the mechanics of making it work. I understand the budget process, the funding and procurement process and how it all works to meet the needs of the public.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

The government is supposed to be the servant of the People. It should protect everyone from abuse and provide for shared common needs but it is NOT supposed to oversee every aspect of our lives.

Criminal Justice

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Agree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree
