Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

An unborn child's rights should always be protected. Of course, if the unborn child has unfortunately died, an abortion is reasonable. If an unborn child is surely dying, and the mother's life is also in danger, the issue is complicated and the unborn child’s rights should still be carefully and quickly considered, analyzed and protected by courts and parents. Unfortunately, I believe many abortions are done for convenience, monetary reasons, and/or because the unborn child is simply unwanted. This is sad and terrible. A doctor suggested an abortion for one of my children. My wife and I found another doctor. The other doctor was great. Our child was born approx. 3 month premature. I thank God that my child is doing very well. Families and children should be protected and helped.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Neutral

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Neutral

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

This is a complicated issue and there is not enough room here to fully explain my answer. I am the author of a book entitled, "Economic Crisis & Solutions - Unemployment Bubble, Technology, Federal Reserve and Government," (ISBN-13: 978-1544223056. Print book and e-book, 278 pgs., March 2017. My book is FREE to check out at Franklin, Greendale, Greenfield, and other public libraries. I recently also uploaded a FREE online YouTube video presentation of a summary/parts my book: https://youtu.be/16AHIj_DKf4. In addition, I posted a short summary of my book at: https://www.facebook.com/Elect-Theodore-D-Kafkas- 108819677543374. My book explains my analysis and suggested solutions. Briefly: Our government should emphasize jobs creation (instead of just printing/giving away money). In my book, I suggested many other new and great ideas that would positively affect our unemployment.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

This is also a complicated issue and there is not enough room here to fully explain my analysis and suggested solutions. As explained above, I am the author of a book entitled, "Economic Crisis & Solutions - Unemployment Bubble, Technology, Federal Reserve and Government." Briefly: We should end the private and secret Federal Reserve central bank. Only the U.S. Treasury should be the U.S.A's central bank with full checks and balances/complete transparency, and the U.S.A should make its own credit (money creation) at 0% interest. In the process, we must protect our sovereign nation and Constitutional Rights. Our Constitutional Rights make our fiat currency strong (e.g., people want to live and do business where they have freedom). We should also balance the budget (with very limited exception(s). In addition, our government is out of control and we need new leadership. In my book, I suggest many other new and great ideas that would positively affect our economy.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Neutral

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

This is another complicated issue and there is not enough room here to fully explain my answer. As explained above, I am the author of a book entitled, "Economic Crisis & Solutions - Unemployment Bubble, Technology, Federal Reserve and Government." My book explains my analysis and suggested solutions. Briefly: By boosting our economy as I explained above, we would promote affordable healthcare coverage for all. Tax-exempt (non-profit) hospitals and other entities should have limitations on the salary amounts/compensations paid to executives. In addition, our government is out of control and we need new leadership. In my book, I suggest many other new and great ideas that would positively affect our economy. Also, while it might not be our government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has at least some BASIC health insurance, this is a great goal for our prosperous nation that has a vast health care system already in place.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

Immigration

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

Education

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

George Washington's comment that “Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society” is still true today.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Strongly Disagree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

1. I believe that God helped the U.S.A. 2. The Judeo-Christian values of the Founding Fathers. 3. The education of the Founding Fathers.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I volunteered to help many conservative elected candidates including President Trump. Also, as I explained above, I am the author of a book entitled, "Economic Crisis & Solutions - Unemployment Bubble, Technology, Federal Reserve and Government." In my book, I explained my analysis of economic, social matters, foreign policy and immigration issues. For example, I am against illegal immigration into the U.S.A., and I am for the Peace Corps. Likewise, I believe that we must protect our Constitutional Rights. In my book, I also wrote about and quoted George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, etc. Here again, there is not enough room here to fully explain my answer.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

tedkafkas@hotmail.com

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I believe our nation is in trouble. I believe we should pray, get real information and make up our own minds, vote, and run for office. In the question above about whether Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; I also want to explain: I believe every person should be treated with respect and every person has full Constitutional rights. In addition, I want to explain: while it might not be the government’s responsibility to ensure that every citizen has a minimum survivable/livable income, this is a great and wise goal for our highly productive and wealthy nation. At the same time, when people can work, the wise and great goal should be to promote and require some productive employment instead of just printing/giving away money. In the question above about whether I voted in these primaries and general elections, I did not have an option to explain: I do not recall for sure what elections I voted in the past going back to 2012.
