Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Disagree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe that is a question to be answered by a woman in consultation with her physician and is none of your business.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The Military budget. I would also move all of our healthcare dollars over to a single payer model and take back the profits from the for profit health insurance industry.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Disagree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Disagree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The Church has no role in our government or lawmaking.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Agree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I do promote our country to move to a single payer, universal access, publicly funded, yet privately delivered health plan. We can start at the state level first if necessary and move it across the country. The first state who gets it will be the tipping of the Domino!

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Disagree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Disagree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone seeking economic opportunity. Anyone seeking refuge from tyranny, war, or hunger. Anyone experiencing loss of habitat from climate change. Anyone who has served our country in the military. Under any of these circumstances.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Agree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Disagree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that we are all spiritual beings having a physical experience here on earth. I believe that there is only one higher power and we are all his children. I believe that all religions offer a way to God, some are just easier than others. I believe in Faith, Hope and Charity, but the greatest of these is Charity. I believe that we have all already been forgiven for our sins and our greatest challenge is to forgive ourselves.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Pretty much all of my volunteer and social media activities would define me as a liberal. (A bleeding heart one at that!)

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Many years of union experience negotiating bargaining contracts, I have the ability to look at both sides of an issue and work towards compromise.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

If elected as State Senator for the 39th LD in Washington, I will always be looking at any legislation through the eyes of my constituents; how each bill will effect them on a personal level while also taking into consideration how our presence is affecting the rest of the earth.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We need common sense gun reform. We need better educational/certification requirements for gun owners. We need gun owners to be more responsible in securing their guns. wW need to outlaw publicly terrorizing unarmed citizens with

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Universal Healthcare for all Washington residents (SB5222) Reducing the automatic salary increase to members of our legislature. Public funding of elections

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, not only is it a threat to domestic security, it is morally wrong. We all have the same needs and wants. We need to start living up to the promises of our nations founding fathers. We are ALL created with certain inalienable rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
