QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Under no circumstance
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The church is not and cannot be instituted or operated by the government. We have the freedom to worship without government interference unless it endangers or threatens the life of an individual.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Allow more private health insurance companies to create more competition Establish more optional Health Savings Accounts make it possible health insurance to cross state lines
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Unnecessary pork barrel spending projects and ideological studies such as saving the Orcas or other environmental agendas, welfare programs where the money flows through the bureaucrats and not to the needy. Using the revenue only for the use the taxpayers were taxed for.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
It is a complicated issue. As a previous owner of cherry orchards I depended on migrant workers to maintain and harvest my crops. Unfortunately American citizens are unwilling to work in the orchards because it is very difficult work. Farmers are dependent on these skilled positions and they depend on the migrants primarily from Latin America for this help. Unfortunately many of these people have counterfeit documentation but employers are not allowed to discriminate when reviewing the documents, it's a difficult position to be in. I believe that we allow immigrants to access work opportunities for agriculture purposes during the growing season but must return to their home country for a duration of time, very similar to a guess worker program. The same taxes would be taken out of their checks but because they are a guest in our country they would not qualify for any benefits a citizen would enjoy. I do believe a wall is needed as it would control drug trafficking and terrorism.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Most of the restrictions have been implemented such as automatic weapons and caliber size. Gun shows should have to follow strict standards so illegal or stolen guns can't be trafficked. More aggressive laws need to be implemented and the offender should receive harsher treatment, it is the person who commits the crime not the weapon.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Business recovery incentives Tax Incentives not tax increases Decrease unnecessary regulation
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes racism is becoming more threatening however I believe it is being stirred by progressive groups, elected officials and the media. Those groups, I believe, are using racism for political gain and not trying to really find a solution. Our children are being taught to take sides and putting one group against another. Our children are being educated in a way that they need to be politically correct, that everything our ancestors did was wrong and we are now obligated to pay for their mistakes. That's the wrong message. We have to move forward, learn from our ancestor's mistakes and take action to change course. Reverse racism becomes the alternative and we see that today With the recent episode in the death of George Floyd, it appears the officers involved were out of line and their actions resulted in a tragic event. Those officers have to be held accountable. However there are a majority of police officers who are not racist and do everything they can to provide equal justic
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Life begins a conception I believe the immigration system is broken, we need a border wall but at the same time we are in a dire need of a solid a agriculture workforce that is in very short supply. The system needs to be fixed within. I am strongly against sanctuary cities and believe harboring illegal criminals should be a federal offense. I am an advocate for private property rights. I'm against unnecessary regulation on private property and businesses. I'm a supporter of the 2nd amendment and believe that our laws need to be harsher on criminal offenders. Yes, there should be a limit on the type of weapon but those limits have already been implemented such as caliber size and automatic weapons.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have been an agriculture and business leader for over 30+ years. I have participated and coordinated large and small leadership groups to find solutions to federal, state and local issues. I Have been appointed to and have chaired various land planning, forest management, Christian education and mission committees, groups and programs.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have always been a person who tries to find working solutions for all of us even for those who have different ideologies while not giving in on my Christian principles. I believe faith, morals and ethics are the foundation of my campaign but I am willing to listen to anyone and work with all people of a different mindset and belief.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
