Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
None. All life has value! Our U.S. Constitution demands protection of any being that qualifies as human. Circumstances such as rape and incest cause some to believe is justification for murdering the life within. I cannot justify this. No matter how a human life is conceived, that child has a specific purpose ahead of it in life. I am a Christian who must stand on the Bible's Commandments. I also must qualify every thought and action I have as being rooted in love. Jesus Christ gave us two principles that everything is guided by: Love God and Love our neighbor. If I am to love "all", then I cannot kill any innocent human beings. As the father I am and the husband I have been, if I were faced with "potentially" losing my wife so my forthcoming child could live, my action would have to be to pray with everything within me, that my wife survived the birth. We do not know the future, so not even a doctor can guarantee a woman's death from birthing a child.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Raise retirement age, as life expectancy has increased. Everyone who is working legitimately, as verified through e-file, must contribute. Every worker shall pay into Social Security System up to revised/extended cutoff threshold. Invest into markets to allow for positive investment growth. Explore possibility of tax incentive to retiree who may not need this benefit and would be willing to exchange it for a tax credit.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I will have review/analysis that seeks any current duplication or overlap in existing programs and operations. We must operate with proactive mentality, ever-seeking improved efficiency with government operations. When rewarded with surplus from achieving balanced budget, we must also be wise stewards and invest into areas of need. Prioritization of and fulfilling our people's essential needs must come before non-critical spending.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
I do not believe a student's secondary education loans should become the burden of the taxpayer. Our whole education system needs overhaul & more efficient means & tools for education must be created & implemented. Our current education system is antiquated. Today's technologies can empower & drive change for both institutions & students.
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state must exist to allow religious freedoms of our individuals. The state should not be involved in enforcing religion upon its people. The state may be called upon to protect an individual or group's right to freedom of speech, worship and to gather/assemble. There must be a mutual respect between church and state and upholding each's individual purposes involving our freedoms and protections.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Healthcare really is mis-named and should be called "sickcare". By my standards, healthcare is defined by steps taken for "prevention" so we are sick less often. Thus, needing sickcare less often. In referring to the terminology as is used today: we need privatized care that returns to affordable premiums, affordable deductibles, and tax-deductible incentives for health maintenance and prevention This will in turn benefit the insurance companies, who will pay out less due to sickcare treatment, which is more expensive than prevention.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Be ever vigilant that the threat of evil exists to destroy life. Our strongest offense is a solid defense. The world needs to always know the United States is "armed and ready" to defend everything, every principle and value as represented by our U.S. Constitution. We need to be pro-active in our investigations, however, unless we have "just cause", we should not overstep in violation of an individual's liberties, as related to our Constitution. Anyone living on U.S. soil needs to understand they agree to the United States standards and guiding principles and laws. If someone does not agree to abide by such, they are welcome to leave our soil. We also have a responsibility when made aware of human atrocities outside the U.S., not only from moral value but especially when considering if that may eventually make it's way onto U.S. soil.
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Any adult who has no history of criminal behavior, after sufficient background check. An adult who agrees to abide by United States laws and United States Constitution. An adult must be capable of working, so does not simply become a burden to the U.S. welfare system. If individual is a minor, they must have an accompanying guardian that meets the above qualifications. If no permanent guardian exists, then minor must accept that U.S. will assign a permanent guardian so minor is not at risk of homelessness or becoming a victim of human trafficking.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am first and foremost a child of God. I was created by God for His Purposes that I am to discover and walk out in my life. I follow Jesus' two guiding principles in everything I do: "Love God with all my heart, mind and spirit" and "love thy neighbor as thyself". Love is the answer to all problems, challenges and dilemmas we face in this life. There are only two roots that everything comes from: Love and fear. All anger, hate, hurt, negative actions, behaviors are rooted in fear. The more I can operate from Love, the more I can fulfill how Jesus described us: the light of the world and salt of the earth. Everyone is able to trust me in all my current and future actions and endeavors when they understand that everything I do is evaluated and acted upon from love as my root. Love for all of God's Creation: every man, woman, child, animal and even the earth itself. When all we are and do is rooted in love, we can trust each other, knowing we have each other's best interest at heart.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have a heart for service to others. I live by the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I am rooted in love within my core operating system. That means every thought, action & decision is based from that place within me. Therefore, our voters, our constituents will have the peace of mind & trust in me that initially must be earned by my example in how I fulfill this Congressional office. My whole job is to serve. My needs come second, behind those I am elected to represent. There is no Higher Purpose than service to another. My office will have an "Open Door" policy, as I want engagement between this office & those I represent. It is a privilege to have voter trust placed in me & I accept that with full burden of responsibility to meet every need possible that is within this office & my capability. My re-election will be a testament that I have earned not only the trust but the confidence of my constituents. I look forward to serving you sincerely!
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I'm unaware of additional restrictions that would automatically increase public safety. Gun owner safety is paramount. Parents need a secure solution in the home, albeit fingerprint-activated release, locking devices, etc. We need mandatory waiting period for guns purchased at trade shows and outside of retail establishments, to allow for sufficient, adequate background check. Technology for faster accurate background check. Explore review for mental health arms qualification.
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1) Private enterprise incentives in exchange for participation in socio-economic solutions, ie: homelessness eradication, wage disparity and cost-of-living lack of affordability. 2) Alternative, complementary, innovative and holistic medical treatment programs as an option for all in America. 3) Overhaul and reform for America's K-12 education system, including complete curriculum design, funding and implementation.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. Webster's definition of racism is: "The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. This leads to prejudice. Prejudice is rooted in fear, as is our focus on our differences. In order to remain secure within our U.S. borders, we must live in harmony through our greatest intentional actions possible. Unity creates security. Division from racism leads to anxiety that can lead to unimaginable actions based upon inaccurate beliefs we hold that represent our imaginary differences. We must choose to focus on our common core similarities as human beings instead of seeing and judging each other by race, color, creed, sex, religion or other characteristic that is different from our own. Inside, we all bleed the same color blood. We are more the same than different. This is how we live peacefully and cooperatively in a civilized society, ever-growing more prosperous in every way.
