Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the mother's life is at risk, incest, and rape.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The Social Security System is on a trajectory to bankruptcy. 2020 is the first year that more people will be receiving benefits than are paying into the system. By 2035 the Trust Fund is projected to become insolvent. These were predictions before the COVID-19 pandemic's impact, which will only hasten the demise of our safety net for our seniors and those that need it most. One of the ways we can insure benefits for future generations is by allowing individuals to delay entering the system and increase the benefit payout when they do enter. I would also be for privatising a part of the Social Security Trust Fund, allowing individuals to take a more proactive role in their retirement. I believe that politicians should stop borrowing from the Trust Fund to fund other programs that would otherwise not be created due to lack of funding. And lastly, we should be paying back the money that has been borrowed from the Fund. Over 40 years of inaction is creating a crisis. It's time to fix it.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

First we should be looking at the budgets across the federal government to see where cuts could be made. I would start with zero based budgeting and then move into cutting a penny from each budget each year. I would also look at deregulation. Regulation adds costs to businesses and also creates more government bureaucracies, which in turn increases the overall federal budget. We can also look at ways at turning to private industry to solve some of the problems we face today.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

I don’t believe the taxpayer should be responsible for paying off student loans. Currently, when an individual is struggling financially, courts are unable to reduce or eliminate student loan debt like they can with consumer debt. Congress has put in protections for the lenders, but not the students who fall prey to the lending tactics used by these companies. Congress should stop protecting companies and make them accountable to their own business lending models.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The intent of our founding fathers was to protect religion from the government but not exclude or separate religion from government. We are given the right to choose our faith and should not be required to be religious by our government. The separation of church and state means that our government should not establish a national religion, but it also cannot prevent an individual from practicing their religion.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I will focus on creating a better healthcare system. One that meets your personalized needs that allow you to keep your doctor and doesn’t have exclusions for pre-existing conditions. I will make sure we have programs that ensure access for all regardless of your economic or social status. I will seek to allow insurance to be sold across state lines to increase competition to drive down insurance rates. I will seek to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse and create a system that you can trust. I will ensure Medicaid and Medicare are stable and funded to protect our most vulnerable. I will seek to reform our pharmaceutical industry to make sure Americans have affordable medications, without crushing innovation and developing new cures. I will seek tort reform to decrease frivolous lawsuits and help lower malpractice insurance costs.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

The U.S. should be constantly watching over the globe to detect any form of terrorism, radical Islam or otherwise. First, having good relationships with other nations is the most important part of recognizing who and where we should be directing our attention to most. Second, Homeland Security should be given adequate resources to make sure we live in a safe and secure country. Third, America should identify and have a strategy to discourage countries that provide sanctuary to terrorists. And lastly, America should continue to promote democracies all around the world.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Disagree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

First off, if someone would like to immigrate to the U.S., they must prove that by immigrating here they would not displace an American from employment or take space away from an American wanting to go to school here in the U.S. Second, I believe that people that are wanting to immigrate to the U.S. must show that they won't put a burden on to the American taxpayer by needing help from social services when entering the U.S. They must show they can become a productive, taxpaying participant in the economy. And third, we must not compromise national security. A secure border that verifies every individual who wishes to come in to our country is paramount to preventing those who wish to do harm to our country.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Christian. I attend Cascade Community Church where the teachings of Jesus Christ are taught. I believe we have all sinned and must ask for forgiveness from God and accept that Christ died on the cross to take the burden of our sins from us. It is important to remember that God created all people from different races, colors, and backgrounds and that we should love one another. I hold the Ten Commandments as a foundation of my moral character. Each of us is a spokesperson for God and should act accordingly.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Go to my website and review my stances on issues regarding the economy, immigration, and social matters at https://beeler4congress.org/?page_id=127

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I’m a proud husband, father, and founder of a small window cleaning business in my hometown of Sultan, WA. I have been married for 30 years to my beautiful wife, Marni, and have three wonderful young adults. With hard work and support from my family, I have been able to develop and run a successful window cleaning business for over 30 years. In addition, I have over 11 years of experience working in public service as part of the Sultan City Council. By working together, I believe all Washingtonians can be as successful, productive and happy as I have been. I can help make that possible by representing you as your next House Representative in Congressional District 1. Some of my goals in Congress are to fix the broken immigration system, fix our healthcare system, invest in our nation's infrastructure, and pass a balanced budget amendment. I have always had a desire to serve my community to make where I live a better place.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Take guns out of the hands of criminals and increase penalties when the conviction includes the use of a gun.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

I am in favor of a more effective government by requiring a balanced budget amendment. We should expect our government to live within its means. I will focus on creating a better healthcare system. One that meets your personalized needs that allow you to keep your doctor and doesn’t have exclusions for pre-existing conditions. I will make sure we have programs that ensure access for all regardless of your economic or social status. We need to secure our borders. Open border policies only perpetuate the drug cartels influence, the recruitment of human trafficking, and losing our sovereignty as a nation. Open borders allow criminals and gang members, who don’t respect our laws, to come in and wreak havoc on our communities creating an unsafe environment for our families.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to domestic security. When you have a class or race of a community that feels they are being treated differently, especially if they feel unfairly treated, it can and has created outbreaks of violence because of unresolved racism. And, as we have seen recently, the protesting that may start out as warranted and peaceful, turn violent and destructive by other forces that take advantage of a meaningful and constructive outcry.
