Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

We are pro-life. We believe life starts at conception. We must protect the life of a child and I will support each and every bill that serves that goal, including: -No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance -Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act -Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Act -Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act -Life at Conception Act -Protecting Life and Taxpayers Act of 2019 -Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act -Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act of 2019 -Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act -Parental Notification and Intervention Act of 2019 -Fetal Heartbeat Bill Roe v. Wade should be overturned without exception. The Bible is clear on this issue. Overturning Roe v. Wade will be a primary campaign issue for Team LaPierre for Senate! ~ Jeremiah 1:5, Psalms 100:3, Psalms 139:13-16

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

We must protect social security benefits for our current seniors. However, as a former business executive who has made tough business decisions in the past, I believe that we must make significant changes so that retirement benefits will be available for younger generations. Moving the age requirements, allowing opt-out provisions to social security in lieu of portable bonds, having enhanced 401-K contributions, and creating individual accounts where owners could purchase CPI related annuities upon retirement, are just a few of the potential actions that I would propose. We must take a business approach to reaffirming our long term commitment to retirement benefits and not let the persuasion of politics cloud our judgement.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would propose a flat tax and abolish the IRS. I would dismantle (phased approach) the Department of Education, EPA, Dept of Commerce, and other nonessential government agencies and send the responsibility back to the states. I would limit the amount of money/funding that we send overseas. I would also have a minimum 10% across the board reduction in the number of government employees on the payroll. We need to right-size our government.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Military service and 100% medical disabilities and impairment that are clinically diagnosed and defined.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

OUR CURRENT LAWS THAT support separation of church and state in the U.S. are simply masquerading as the schoolmaster for religious freedom yet denying the liberty of conscience they were supposed to protect. These laws were enacted by twisting and manipulating the contents of a letter written by Thomas Jefferson, in 1801, from their original intent under the guise of protecting religious liberty and the free exercise thereof. Furthermore, while the laws on the books of the United States Congress might signify a different perspective, rest assured that separation of church and state has at no time in our country’s history been enforced in total. For the most part, the enforcement has been specific and limited to the peculiars of the Christian faith. It has been used to control and stifle Christian freedom and religious expression.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe that the first step in returning our healthcare system to normalcy is to conclude that privatization of healthcare is essential. Getting our government out of health care and letting the free market forces regulate our healthcare system is a priority. Economists around the globe agree that ANY form of government intervention and/or regulation impedes the natural and efficient flow of free market forces. Politicians have never understood the law of unintended consequences when moving toward public venues and they certainly didn’t understand the disastrous impact that Obamacare would have on our nation. Many economists argue that Obamacare represents as much as one-fifth of our gross domestic product. We should all be clear on what the intent of the Obamacare legislation represents. It is simply another form of the redistribution of wealth doctrine.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

1) We must continue to educate U.S. citizens on the danger that the radical terrorist element of Islam represents. 2) If the radical element injures the lives of Americans, we respond with quick and decisive military action. 3) We fund an escalated drone presence to disable the radical Islamic terrorist element, when necessary. 4) We create long term strategic plans for each terrorist organization based on past and predicted behavior to be used as guidance. 5) We must diligently seek their sources of funding and snuff them out. 6) We create a Balanced Score Card index for each radical Islamic organization to be used as guidance.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The President of the United States gives us guidance on immigration policy. Securing our national borders is one of the primary cornerstones of a free and prosperous democratic republic. The United States of America should have a clearly defined geographical barrier of protection that preserves the freedoms and liberties of all Americans. I believe that an Almighty God has blessed us with a sovereign nation that I am pleased to call my country. As a beacon of light and a shining example of hope and prosperity, America is a hiding place and safe haven for those seeking to experience the totality of freedom through the process of entry appropriated and enforced by law. Laws of a porous nature will not stand the test of time. In other words, without the enforcement of our immigration laws, our country will soon cease to exist.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again Christian who desires to see my faith lived out in both private and public without restraint. I believe that the free exercise of one's faith is the primary foundation and building blocks from which everything else flows. Our Founding Fathers told us that virtue and religion were necessary for the continuation of our Constitution. In other words, our Constitution can not survive without them. I want to help set us on a path that will rebuild the moral and spiritual foundations of our great country. We should never have a state sponsored church. We should freely exercise our religious beliefs. All law abiding churches should be protected from the long arm of a tyrannical government.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Work tirelessly to overturn Roe v. Wade · Oppose all forms of legislation that are aimed at controlling our guns and limiting our right to bear arms and the right to due process under the law · Drive and support legislation that will help South Carolinians thrive economically · Propose and support all legislation that removes regulatory barriers and unnecessary red tape · Support a Constitutional Amendment that defines marriage between a man and a woman · Advocate for an educational system that brings primary responsibility back to the state level through strategic initiatives including vouchers, ESA accounts, tax credits, and private school choice · Limit myself to 2 terms and propose legislation for term limits at the congressional level that will help diminish the influence of lobbyists, professional political operatives, and other institution bureaucrats. * Donate a majority of my salary to charity.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Every citizen of the United States of America has the right, guaranteed by our Constitution, to legally carry a gun. This right extends to open carry, concealed carry and carry without a permit. This right is otherwise known as “Constitutional Carry”. All attempts to limit our gun rights in any way are back door efforts to control our guns. We must never let this happen. We need more guns in society to protect our public safety, not less.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

The Truth In Education Act - Our country desperately needs a system of education that brings the basics of morality, common human decency and a focus on the principles of God’s Word back to the classroom. Campaign Finance Reform - We are in desperate need in the United States of America of re-calibrating our campaign finance laws. The current system has devolved into the lowest common denominator of graft, corruption, and greed. We have allowed the arm pit, stench, and excesses of the almighty dollar (mammon) drive our system of government in ways that our Founding Fathers would never have imagined. Corruption in Politics - Corruption in politics at the local, state and federal levels is much like a fast spreading cancer that is ready to consume and destroy the body. The cancer of corruption must be rooted out and there is no time to wait.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Real racism in our culture is deplorable and should never be tolerated. If not crushed, it could be a potential source and threat to domestic security. What is even more troubling, however, is the perceived racism being conjured up and manipulated by our mainstream press. We must understand the difference between real and perceived racism and find an answer to both.
