Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The Hyde Amendment prohibits the use of federal funds for abortions, except in the case of rape, incest or if the life of the mother is endangered. But I believe abortion is more than a mere intellectual issue (sex), and also has a spiritual component (love). The two belong together (perhaps adoption can have a bigger part) and I believe the Almighty will require a reckoning: He made made each child in His image. A scholar in Hebrew once clarified for me the command "You shall not kill" in the original language is more closely associated with murder (premeditated). I realize not every citizen believes the Word of God is true, but the U.S. Constitution exists to RESTRAIN government, not to empower it. After all, when people reject God, who has the last word?

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social security premiums invested and used for (future) benefit of premium payers should be actuarial sound. If would be a moral problem, if an issue.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Since the Russian revolution began 100 years ago, we have been looking for increased government control, also in the West, arguably at 40% now. The level and long term trend is most disturbing, not only for its enormous weight and limiting of people, also for the increasing idolatry ("usurpation" of conscience). Constitutional Separation of Powers of itself does not necessarily limits spending, but upholding Constitutional Rights with each bill becoming law seems reasonable.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Please pay your own bills.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Religious freedom is a constitutional right of U.S. Citizens. The Almighty created the mind free, but without a conscience. Reason for Separation of Powers (of a king). In the world today, 3 out of 4 people live in places hostile to faith, and there are millions of refugees. Why don't all have religious freedom, like us under our First and most important Amendment, to live and let live. Communism rejects God. The end result of Socialism is the same: Nihilistic, unprincipled philosophies with prisons. Everything done in name of humanity then depends on a moment in time and a specific structure and is subject to change (Politburo, UN Climate Change, "make us a king to judge us like all the nations."). Furthermore: Complete government control of transportation (TriMet), factories, agriculture, communication, OHSU, OEA, PERS, ... may take away conscience; for the last word on parental rights, murder, adultery, stealing, bearing false witness, and covetousness; to live and let die.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need more advocacy for good health and good medical outcomes even though there is less money in it. A nationalized healthcare system is a bad idea, more scary than what the IRS may be capable of. Besides, Government is not good at managing programs cost effectively or creatively but rather be focused to clarify transparency and portability for the consumer, competition among providers also across state lines, and some vigilance in deterring wrongdoing. Along those lines, promote free markets, free people as much as possible, basic to the high level of health care professionals and systems. Work with provider and consumer organizations so that people who are un-insurable for private insurance companies can yet get coverage with limited government support. Minimizing poor medical outcomes requires more than a doctor visit or bipartisanship. We must look not only at the contribution of government but also at the participation of private individuals.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Eliminate the threat. Religious differences better be settled with spiritual weapons, and diplomacy, but for taking down radical Islamic terrorism the U.S. Military is a force for good. Important to underscore the U.S. Military upholds the United States Constitution, which guarantees religious freedom. After becoming a naturalized U.S. Citizen I regularly prayed for a few years with an American of German heritage. He was born in the U.S. and perhaps two years older than my father. Not long before his death he merely shared to have helped liberate Buchenwald as a sergeant in the United States Army. In that camp 650 randomly arrested men and boys from Amsterdam had perished by December 1941 following their railroad strike in February (to interrupt deportations). My parents were born in Amsterdam and taught me to be thankful for freedom. Violence in good hands is a good thing, and may the American soldier always be worthy to be prayed for outside America as well.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Along these guidelines: Anybody who actually wants to become a U.S. Citizen and contribute (be rather free than taken care of); learns English within a reasonable time, say two years or so; agrees to submit to the law of our nation (the United States Constitution); sponsored by two adult U.S. Citizens.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The Almighty created the mind free to believe. That He so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Semper Idem: I believe the Word of God is true and is the same yesterday, today and forever. A creature should know its limitations and for reconciliation (with a holy Lord God) he or she needs redemption by a qualified (holy) redeemer. For faith, hope and love therefore in a world with wrongdoing the grace of my Redeemer, the Lord Christ Jesus, be with you all. Religious freedom is a constitutional right of U.S. Citizens, wherever they are, and basic to all other political freedoms. With religious freedom under attack, and government presuming to speak for us, we need federal officials who love the First Amendment.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Oregon has great natural beauty, including 10 ecosystems, more than any other state. But I have conducted five campaigns to unseat incumbents seemingly mesmerized by socialism and ecotopia. This is my sixth attempt to fasten a loose cannon (loosened from the Unites States Constitution). Also, am concerned about the people being led astray by gradually replacing the Constitutional rights with civil rights for a few protected classes. This seems wrong to me and a threat to the political freedom in our nation. I interpret the dream the reverend Martin Luther King preached about from our capitol city as a vision of great spiritual beauty for all citizens.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No. We should put more emphasis on repentance in our penitentiary system, for true forgiveness; also for freedom from guilt, perhaps the largest prison of all. In contrast with totalitarian regimes which come with prisons, not penitentiaries.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

The Federal Election Committee applies some restriction for U.S. Citizens like me, who campaign without a Candidate Committee, albeit my choice. It is essential to vote down the absolute majorities in Oregon's Legislature and diminish government control of the economy (incl. influence of socialism and environmental idolatry), but the Federal legislation could as well be more mindful of our nation's past to have a future. Do not be deceived. No creature is without guilt, and neither is any nation. But that does not mean we should take freedom and the United States of America for granted. On the contrary, turn around from wrongdoing and be encouraged to do the right thing, personally and together as the United States. Everyone can do something for someone.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Evil exists, also in gun free zones. How can some say that people are inherently good, knowing there is so much hate? To bear arms is a constitutional right to overcome or prevent threats of violence: Firearms are used more than 2,000,000 (!) times a year for personal protection, preventing crime in many instances without a shot be fired. We need lawmakers who respect the Second Amendment and who respect (elected) Sheriffs as ultimately responsible for law enforcement in the Counties.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

We are making way too many laws and regulations, leaning on government control, perhaps as much as 40% of the economy already. Enough? -Ratification of foreign treaties: No infringement on constitutional rights. For an important example: No surrender of the U.S. Constitution to some supra national organization or resolution. I'd advocate for the reverse. -Vote for conservative Judges (curb runaway leeway for inferior Courts) -Limited government: My Maker requires a tithe, why government more?

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Each child is wonderfully made and, though the spirit of racism is evil, God has power to let the heaven of His fellowship descent in an economy that is not without injustice and misery. We are a nation with Christians in it, who are in the way. A man and a woman are comprised of a body, a psyche and a spirit. Several of our social challenges today that we try to solve intellectually, I believe are in fact spiritual. Civil rights legislation and a prescription against mental illness may help to some extent, but do not solve spiritual components, including fear. I am not advocating to stop using our mind, but to have a bigger heart. Sometimes wish the psychiatrist attending to a loved one within my family would have been told to play chess with intellectuals instead.
