Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

If the mother has been the victim of rape or incest, I would consider allowing her to get an abortion, but even under those circumstances, adoption may still be a better option. Mothers who have aborted their babies suffer immense amounts of guilt and shame and some even develop PTSD as a result of going through with an abortion. Followers of Jesus Christ, such as I am, should be the first to offer support and comfort and forgiveness to women who have already had an abortion and who may be considering abortion. Christians should be known for love and kindness while standing up for what is right.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

We need to insure that people who have worked hard and paid into Social Security their whole life can receive it when they retire. To insure that, we need to make some minor adjustments now since it will be out of money in 11 years.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

You have to reduce the cost of health care to be able to save Medicare. You also have to modify Social Security to reduce the Federal deficit.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

The laws regarding bankruptcy should be changed to allow for student debt to be forgiven. The Government should not pay off existing student loans.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that Congress shall make no laws impeding the practice of the individuals rights to worship in any way they see fit. Also, Congress should never set up a state religion.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

1) We need to double or triple the number of Doctor, Nurses and other health care providers that graduate every year. 2) We need to do away with laws that limit the number of medical facilities. 3) We need to reform the patent laws that make drugs easily re=patented and keeps the price of drugs very high.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

1) We must have a strong military that is capable of taking the fight to terrorist wherever they are. 2) We must be vigilant at home to threats that are growing right down the street or where ever.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

America needs immigrants, but we should base that on what our country needs, not who can walk across the southern border. It should be based on whether or not the person applying will likely assimilate into our country and adopt our way of life. If they don't want to do that, then they should be excluded. I am making the distinction of immigration is not the same as seeking asylum. We should grant asylum based on whether or not people are being persecuted for race or religious reasons. Not whether or not they just want to move here.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I grew up in a Christian home, but did not grow in my relationship to Jesus Christ until I went to college. Since then, following Jesus has been the foundation of my life. I even attended Dallas Theological Seminary and got a Masters in Theology to train for the ministry. The Lord did not lead me into full time Christian service, but I have always attended and been an active part of a church wherever I have lived. Jesus made it pretty simple so even I can understand - Love God, Love others. I have tried to live that out.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Every law abiding person should be able to own what ever gun they want, including military grade weapons.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Repeal of the Endangered Species Act. (Each state has their own version - let the states do it). 2) Reduce the cost of medical care as described above. 3) Protect Social Security and Medicare.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

If you are white in America today, you are going to be called a racist. That level of public hatred is a threat to our unity, but it is not technically racism. Racism is treating someone a certain way based on their skin color or ethnicity. Racism is not a big problem in the USA.
