Questionnaire

Please note: Responses are entered electronically by the candidate and are listed verbatim.

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

If the health of the mother is seriously at risk or if the pregnancy was a result of incest or rape.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Neutral

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Our system has been working very well thus far. If we continue to hold true to the systems in place and refrain from creating new legislation regarding Social Security or Medicare for all, everyone will be provided for.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We can reduce government spending on international help, especially for countries that are out-right against us and do not align with American values.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Taxpayers should help pay off existing student loans only underneath special circumstances, such as if the student is disabled or has served in the military and is now under distress. Especially under a state of national emergency, such as COVID-19, students who are now healthcare workers, first responders, police officers and firefighters should receive necessary financial support.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The government should not infringe upon the actions of people based on their system of belief.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Agree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

As a licensed medical doctor, I have worked with insurance in the medical field all throughout my career. The ACA has failed to alleviate any of the problems that I have personally seen as a practicing doctor for over 30 years. If elected, I want to work on legislation that will allow for a more streamlined medical insurance program, which adopts on our national insurance model, Medicaid. Medicaid for all low-income families will help millions of working-class Americans, provide relief to small businesses, and give peace of mind to New Jersey families!

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We have to be proactive towards terrorism, identify the bad actors and deal with them before they can attack America. Terrorists must be dealt with caution in conjunction with our partners against terrorism to decide if a real and certain threat is upon us. If a true threat is identified, we must respond with extreme force, whether this is outside or inside of our borders. The security of the American people is a top priority.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone immigrating to the U.S. should be of legal status and must be entering our country out of merit-based opportunity, meaning they must be able to contribute well to our economy and country.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born and raised practicing Catholic.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

New Jersey is decidedly run by the Democratic Party. A party we’ve seen interfere in our President's initiatives, denying the American People a country that will stay Great for years to come. Working with our Senate and with President Trump will increase the viability of our state’s economy, just as the President has done for the nation.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a hard-working, diligent, and well-educated man, who will do my best to represent the 5th Congressional District with the abilities that God has given me.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I fully support the 2nd Amendment, but understand that we need to close the loopholes on gun laws to ensure responsible ownership. We need to keep guns out of the hands of those who are unfit to carry by performing better background checks, particularly to seek out those who may have mental health issues and divert guns away from use in organized crime.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

The three areas of legislation in terms of priority are the economy, healthcare, and immigration. If our nation's economy and the American people are healthy, we can accomplish anything. It is also of great importance for us to reform our immigration laws which have not been changed since the 60s. We need to ensure domestic security and that everyone living in this country can contribute to our economy and well-being as a nation.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, racism is not an issue in our society. Everyone within this country is given a fair chance and equal opportunities. If we all go along pursuing our personal ambitions as our nation has given us the freedom to do, we should not encounter any issues with one another.
