Questionnaire

Please note: Responses are entered electronically by the candidate and are listed verbatim.

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

1. Rape 2. To save the life of the mother.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I would significantly lower the percentage paid by the employer and employee by counting all income regardless of the source or the amount. So take off the cap on the amount of income that would be subject to Sociial Security And I would count all sources of income. There is currently a category called unearned income, like rental income, interest income, etc. I believe this coupled with a middle class tax cut would strengthen the economy and the middle class.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

In order to balance the budget we need to get everyone working. Paying people not to work is not the answer. Giving a welfare check to an employer as an incentive to hire someone seems more reasonable to me. Paul Tsongas promoted this idea years ago.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Reduce the interest rate as low as possible. We have been profiting off student loans.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The government is not allowed to support a particular denomination.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Neutral

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Lower costs Promote Prevention I would like the FDA to not allow cigarette companies to add ammonia to tobacco. I’ve read it causes nicotine to free base hitting the dopamine center in the brain at 10 times the power...making cigarettes extremely addictive. I’ve read it’s already illegal in some countries. Consumers should be able to shop around by being able to easily preview the costs for an operation. Lawsuits raise costs for everyone. Punitive damage awards should be related to the actual damages. The United States pharmaceutical prices should not be dramatically higher than Canada.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

I support President Trumps actions. And I would promote freedom of religion throughout the world.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Neutral

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Neutral

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Those who come legally and support the Constitution.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Neutral

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that Jesus was the, “God will provide himself a lamb” sacrifice that Abraham was looking for and found. Jesus said, “Abraham saw my day and was glad.” John the Baptist said,”Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” Jesus was the lamb without blemish...no sin. The Bible says “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. “ Jesus is not in the all category. Jesus is the “Before Abraham was, I am.” “I am” talked with Moses. Abraham believed God and iit was accounted unto him for righteousness. We’re save by grace through faith. So if you see me in that heavenly city, it’s only because Jesus gave me a pardon, a new name written in a white stone and a robe washed white in the blood of the lamb.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Here’s some examples: As a Kansas State Representative I wrote a one sentence amendment that was roll called. If I remember correctly, “No state tax dollars shall be used for abortion or abortion counseling.” I wrote and carried an amendment to eliminate sales taxes on groceries in Kansas. Again a roll call vote, that unfortunately lost by 1 vote. I consistantly opposed tax increases. I wrote a bill and carried an amendment to prevent legislators from receiving gifts from lobbyists. Biblical principal. Gifts blind the eyes of the wise and pervert the words of the righteous.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I believe we need a fundamental change in Washington DC. There is too much power in the the hands of the leadership to direst lobbyists money. We need campaign finance reform. This is what I did as a Kansas State Representative and this is what I’m doing now. A candidate should only be allowed to accept campaign contributions from registered voters in their district.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I support the NRA points of view.

iVoterGuide Note:  Candidate received an AQ rating from the NRA Political Victory Fund KS in 2020. https://www.nrapvf.org/grades/kansas/

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

I hope to target K-2nd grade Title One funds to provide world class literacy labs. The bottom 40% need help and 20% could receive 500 hours of tutoring. Too many Inner city schools are spending the money in other ways. 2/3rds of prison inmates are functionally illiterate. 43% have dyslexia. I may be able to accomplish this through a talk with President Trump and the Secretary Of Credit card companies are located in South Dakota using their state usury law to override the other 49 states usury laws. Bankrupting millions of people with extremely high rates. I would like to see a floating usury rate based on a certain amount above the treasury rate like the law in Massachusetts. I’d like to get rid of 90% of the current tax breaks written in the 72,000 pages of tax laws and work towards a flat tax that would help the middle class. I would like to target some infrastructure improvement funds to replace old water and sewer lines in poor communities.where monthly water bills exceed $100/m

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Billy Graham believed racism is a serious problem facing the whole world. believe there is only one human race that God created. We desperately need to improve literacy rates in inner city schools. I’ve been working on the Kansas City Missouri Public schools speaking and suggesting improvements. It’s working and they may be fully accredited next year.
