Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I have never found a justifiable reason for abortion. There may be individual situations where an abortion may be performed, but I would not be in favor of it.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would start by examining those positions that are authorized but infilled. If that department seems to be working, the job could eliminated. I would also look for programs that are not working as intended. They could be modified or ended, with employees reassigned to more productive jobs.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The wording in the first amendment is pretty simple. To paraphrase, it says that the government can’t establish an official church, nor can it stop me from attending the church of my choice.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I have always been an advocate of employer provided heal insurance. There are other alternatives available, including healthcare savings accounts to supplement insurance coverage, and Christian based medi-share plans.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We have always been a nation of immigrants. We need to control our boarders to allow orderly entrance to those who have proper clearance to be here.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that God created the heavens and earth. That God so loved the world that he sent His only begotten Son to save us all from our sins, and that he will return some day to establish his forever kingdom. I believe in the great commission, and the golden rule. I value life, a gift from God.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am campaigning on the platform adopted by the Kansas GOP in 2018, and reaffirmed by the state committee back in May of this year. I was a delegate to both meetings, and voted “yes” each time.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have spent a great amount of time researching archives of both state agencies and reading proposed bills on the Kansas Legislature web sites. I have also spent time in the Capitol observing legislative sessions from the public gallery in the House chamber.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am an adoptee. I am a strong advocate of adoption as an alternative to abortion. I never knew my birth parents, bu they are in my prayers, along with siblings I have never known.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I do not endorse any restrictions that conflict with second amendment rights

iVoterGuide Note:  Candidate received an AQ rating from the NRA Political Victory Fund KS in 2020.

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Sponsor an amendment to the Kansas Constitution protecting the rights of unborn fetuses. 2. Sponsor an amendment to the Kansas Constitution changing the method of appointing nominees from the present system to the federal system, in which Senate approval would be required. 3. Sponsor legislation reforming the state’s foster care system.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes. Racism has become highly politicized in recent times. The ultimate answer to this threat has to come from the home and our churches. Sadly, it seems, any issue that becomes political seems to poison our public discourse.
