Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Absolutely NONE! Abortion is murder and should not be allowed under any circumstances. Life begins at conception. The bible tells us God has named us in the womb. Abortion is the biggest stain on our society and the very thought millions of children have been murdered in their mother's womb is abhorrent and we need to work tirelessly to defeat the efforts of the pro-choice crowd. Taxpayers should NEVER under any circumstances be forced to have their tax money to be used for public funding of abortions.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

1. Greatly reduce spending on such things as the WHO, NATO and foreign aid. I also feel we should reduce aid to sanctuary cities who fail to comply with guidelines in working with illegal immigrants. We could also work to eliminate waste, fraud and useless exercises such as the recent Russian special consul efforts to discredit our President. that effort alone would have saved the taxpayers 25 million or so. I would also be in favor of eliminating the automatic budget increases.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Disagree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I believe we are a christian nation founded on christian principles. Government should not, however, be allowed to dictate how those churches and institutions be allowed to conduct business. A bad example of this practice is the restrictions placed on the places of worship due to this recent covid-19 goings on. While abortion clinics were allowed to remain open, churches were told they could not gather together and worship! I believe we should never separate God from our government and work to promote those values taught in the bible. I am disturbed somewhat by other religions who attempt to infiltrate government and impose their beliefs on the system. While we must tolerate other religious practices according to our constitution, we must still maintain our christian principles and values.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe we have the best health care system in the world, without question. I do believe there may be the possibility of working with health care providers to tweak the coverage system a little to make coverage a little more affordable for certain individuals and families. I do not believe in Medicare expansion or a one payer system. If we could do something to lower drug costs, that would also be a positive. However, I do believe in free enterprise and those provider should be free to conduct business as they see fit while providing for the public good!

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone should be allowed to immigrate as long as they can prove their skills and abilities can be utilize to better our society. If they qualify legally and would contribute to society in a positive way, then they should be allowed to access the system, apply and go through the process of applying. If they intend to come to the US symply to access our welfare system and be a burden on society, then they, unfortunately, must be turned away. If they mean harm to the US, then they should never, never be allowed to even access the system. We should be very active in our screening process and vette any applicant to the max in order to insure their intentions are good and honorable.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have been a Southern Baptist since 9 months before I was born and a Christian since I was 8 years old! I was raised in the church by parents who had us there everytime the doors were opened and I am thankful to them for that. Jesus came to earth to save man and he is the only way, as he states in the bible, to heaven. I believe the United States was founded on christian principles by God fearing men and we should never forget that!

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have always been a Republican. I have never voted Democrat or Libertarian and have always declared and registered as Republican. All my friend and family can attest to that fact. This is my third attempt for public office as a registered Republican and that is on the public record.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am a college graduate with a degree in business, plus I was a small Subchapter S business owner for 25 years, so I know the challenges facing small businesses. I have also lived for 73 years and that experience has provided me with a great deal of insight into what makes the world go around.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, never!

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am running for public office in Kansas because I believe the state is moving from our status as a Red state and trending towards purple and eventually blue! Our Rinos in the senate are no help and we are increasingly voting in moderates in the house who are more interested in appeasing the democrats than opposing their bad ideas. I want to insure we remain a strong Red state and the conservative principle that represents.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. I am very Pro 2nd Amendment and a conceal carry permit holder. I believe we have the constitutional right to keep and bear arms with no restrictions. If you do use that weapon to cause harm, then you should be subject to punishment to the full extent of the law, otherwise it is none of the government's business as to how many guns you chose to own. As a wise man once said, "I have more guns than I need, but not as mean as I want!"

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. I would work to eliminate sales tax in the state of Kansas on food and other certain necessities. Many other states do this and it seems to work for them. It would help the hard working families of Kansas utilize more of their income in a positive manner. 2. I would work for the eventual elimination of state income tax altogether! I believe we can eliminate waste and fraud in our government and make that a possibility. Again, hard working families need to keep as much disposable income as possible. 3. I would work to reduce burdensome regulations and taxes on small business in order to assist them in being successful. I have personally experienced the barriers government can put in the way of businesses being successful. I would also include school safety as a 3rd priority.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, I do not believe it is. Recently, minority employment was at an all time low under the Trump Administration. We are truly a nation of immigrants with opportunity for all who follow the rules. Are there isolated instances of racism which occur? It would be naive to suggest otherwise, but I do not view it as a threat to our security.
