Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

In those rare instances when a medical doctor determines a pregnant women is likely to die if she proceeds to delivery or when a medical doctor determines the termination of the pregnancy would significantly enhance her survival and the women consents to the procedure. (Where the women is incapacitated and unmarried - the father of the child may consent to the procedure. Or, where the women is married and is incapacitated, the spouse of the women consents to the procedure).

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

That depends upon whether you are intending the question be applied to the federal or individual state government spending.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The founding fathers believed that matters regarding the practice of religion should be protected from government intrusion and oversight. The founding fathers also believed that no one religion should be established in a manner that prohibited the practice of ones personal beliefs.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The federal government is almost 30 trillion dollars in debt. Under this fiscal limitation, attempting to provide "adequate, affordable and accessible healthcare for all" may be beyond our federal government's ability to solve. I do not seek federal public office and I do not believe that any elected state official has, to date, given an answer that solves this problem. So, while I am not able to provide a solution, I can venture an opinion about "what the answer - is not. The solution is not "medicaid for all". This "remedy" is far too expensive for both participating states and the federal government (that currently picks up 90% of the cost). Medicaid for all has proven to add hundreds of thousands of new patients to the swollen roles of those already receiving medicaid benefits. This has lowered the quality of health care "for all".

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

1) Upon receipt of a properly submitted application 2) Upon proof that the applicant has no criminal or other impediment involving moral turpitude 3) Upon a determination that the application is considered in the order that it is received - unless emergency or national defense dictates otherwise 4) Upon a determination that the application is within the yearly immigration limit established by the federal government 5) Upon a determination that applicant will not be a ward of any state or the federal government unless emergency or the national defense dictates otherwise 6) And, the application does not contain false or deceptive information. Should the application contain false or intentionally deceptive information the applicant should be permanently barred from both entry and further application.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in Jesus Christ, as the only Son of the living God. He and he alone is the way, the truth and the life. And, no one comes unto the Father but by Him. Christ is the author and the finisher of my faith. Christ is the author of morality and the source of all "values".

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Acts of racism that violate the statutory or constitutional protected rights of our citizens are almost certainly a threat to our collective domestic security. This is particularly true if these acts go unpunished. However, posing the question without providing what you allege to be "racism" is problematic. Today, there appears to be a growing list of behaviors alleged to be "racist" or constituting "racism". Without being able to assess the circumstances and facts giving rise to your question, it is almost impossible to provide your readers with any additional response.
