Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
We best protect Social Security by keeping it safe from the big spenders in Congress. We must also defend Medicare by fighting against the Democrats’ radical plans for a government takeover of healthcare.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
As an immediate action, once the economic recovery is underway following the reopening of the economy as we emerge from this China coronavirus pandemic and along with winding down the roughly $3 trillion of emergency relief spending put in place during height of the pandemic , I support a 1 percent across-the-board reduction in all non-defense discretionary spending (which excludes Medicare and Social Security).
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook. Period.
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Free the American people from the costs and restrictions of Obamacare by putting patients and doctors first and keeping the government bureaucrats out of healthcare decision-making which should lie with individuals and their health care providers. We should permit and encourage health insurance companies to sell policies across state lines (like we do with auto insurance) so we can enhance competition and reduce premiums. It is also critical to ensure maximum price transparency for healthcare services so individuals can make informed decisions as consumers and we can have true price competition among providers. We must do all of this while preserving protections for pre- existing conditions and defeating the Democrats’ radical plans for a government takeover of our health care system.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
We must first understand the true nature of the problem. Radical Islamism is more than simply a religious belief. It is a comprehensive political, economic, and religious movement that seeks to impose sharia—Islamic law—upon all aspects of global society. Radical Islamists see politics and religion as inseparable in a way it is difficult for Americans to understand. Radical Islamists assert sharia’s supremacy over the freely legislated laws and values of the countries they live in and see it as their sacred duty to achieve this totalitarian supremacy in practice. Some radical Islamists use terrorism as a tactic to impose sharia but others use non-violent methods—a cultural, political, and legal jihad that seeks the same totalitarian goal even while claiming to repudiate violence. We must be clear headed in dealing with the threat in all manifestations.

Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Right now, with over 40 million Americans out of work due to economic shutdown caused by the Chinese coronavirus, we must continue the moratorium on legal immigration instituted by President Trump. By pausing legal immigration, we will help put unemployed Americans first in line for jobs as America reopens. It would be wrong and unjust for Americans laid off by the virus to be replaced with newly arriving immigrants. We should then move forward with adopting of system of legal immigration designed to protect the interests of American citizens and those legal immigrants already here.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Immigration reform -- build the wall, deny federal funds to sanctuary cities 2. Introduce a Senate version of the PRIME Act, which would increase competition in the beef packing industry to help drive down the cost of beef for consumers and maintain ranching as a viable industry American cattle ranchers. 3. Deny Title IX funds to universities that allow biological males to compete in college women's sports in order to protect the gains made by women in college sports and ensure the opportunities open to young women athletes are not taken away.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism in any form is a moral repugnance and a threat to our national unity. It has no place in our country. We must continue to strive for a color-blind society where all individuals are equal under the law and are judged by the content of their character and not the color their skin (or for that matter, their ethnicity, religion or sex).
