Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Medical necessity, risk of end of life to mother or fetus, a decision that must be left to the parents under the guidance of a health care provider.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

At this point related to the federal government the spending is beyond any point where a reduction may even begin to make a change. As we not only have a spending problem but an income problem. Reduction would need to be evaluated on all levels, particularly by reducing bureaucracy. Income should be increased by growing the economy through lowering taxes and rebuilding America. Term limits and salary reduction of congress would also be a great place to start!

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It ensures that no single religion is given preference, The government cannot make any laws regarding an establishment of religion and they cannot prohibit the exercising of religion. Freedom of religion is a constitutionally protected right.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Medicaid is government based healthcare and I see not need to have a “universal health care” option. I do think that expanding the sale of health insurance to a national level may resolve some cost disparities. Being a health care provider and well as a person who spends dollars on health care I understand both the economic importance of healthcare as an employer and who the costs can affect each and every American.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I Think as it relates to the current economy there should be a good mix of immigration allowed. We should allow those who work in each and every field that have clean legal records. An example many Americans refuse to work in farming, housekeeping, or any other low wage job, we have immigrants who would be happy and willing to work these jobs, immigrants who will pay into our federal income tax dollars and provide benefit to our nation. We also need those who can work in middle class jobs such as the building trades, we cannot rebuild America without labor. Finally we need professionals is industries such as technology and science. It should be noted that as a nations growth increases or decreases that immigration policy must reflect these changes.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I share time between church with my husband who is Catholic and I attend a local Protestant church as well as attend Bible study at a local Protestant church

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am Conservative in that a have a core set of beliefs and values as it relates to my Christianity. As conservatism relates to politics I am a strong fiscal conservative who believes in limited government and 2nd amendment rights. Socially I do not alway agree with a very strong conservative poitlical ideology. An example, I do agree with protection from discrimination for all human beings based on not only religious freedom but freedom of race, gender, or sexual orientation, It is my thought that we should be judged on the content of or character, and if our behavior or life choices do not bring risk of harm to someone else we should be free to live the way with choose without harassment or discrimination.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been working since the age of 12. My background consists of factory work, restaurant the work and retail management. I have worked in health care administration in both for profit and not for profit environments and I have worked in several different fields of medicine. I have also been a small business owner having owned and operated a small manufacturing firm, a restaurant and a childcare. I currently practice psychiatry and a nurse practitioner and I am very involved with volunteering in my community. My background is very diverse which brings great value to the office for which I am seeking.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I do not support the legalization of recreational marijuana at this time, we currently do not have way to monitor or measure a level in a persons body to accurately prosecute anyone who may be a danger to others such as with driving. I do support decriminalization of possession of illicit substances, when there is no intent to sell or distribute. We cannot have these people who are not placing others at harm (only harming themselves) in our jails it is far too costly. A Citation and fine are far better options. I am here to be a voice for you the people, a statesman who works to make positive change for the common good, a change that is fair and just. We must continue to support our middles class, it is the backbone of our nation.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Retrriction on gun ownership for public safety is a “reactive” response to a moral issue. The Question should be “How do we stop or prevent people from killing each other?” From a political stand point and from a proactive approach mental health risk assessment and treatment is of vital importance,

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Indiana is an example for our nation. I would like to continue moving energy legislation forward in Indiana that brings lower costs and cleaner air to our state. I would like to continue to work on solutions for increasing our workforce and improving economic development in our rural communities who are losing population, and finally I want to ensure that healthcare is both accessible, affordable and preventative,

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Political control of the media which promotes hate, intolerance and racism by dividing people or grouping people based on their sex, race or religion is a domestic threat to the United States. I believe that most citizens of our nation are able to see beyond the political rhetoric which attempts to divide our nation. Once again it should only be about the content of our character.
