Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should only be allowed in cases where the mother's life is at risk. I, however, also believe that banning abortion will only result in more deaths of women. Banning things does not work, and will only result in women getting "back-alley" abortions. Abortion should not be banned, but any organization that chooses to perform abortions should not receive public funds, regardless of the other services provided.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would pull back on many social programs that have created a system of holding people up, rather than helping to push them forward.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of Church and State means to me that the state shall not show any favor toward one specific religion, or group of religions. The government should also avoid passing any laws that show favor toward religion, or religous groups, that would directly violate an individual's right to Freedom of Religion.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I don't believe that it is the government's job to provide healthcare to the people. Rather, the government should play a limited part in ensuring that the people have the freedom to seek healthcare.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Neutral

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We should allow people from all areas of the world to immigrate to the greatest country in the world. The important thing is that it be done legally. Obviously we should be considerate of those that are seeking asylum, but those people need to also know that in order to ensure the safety of all Americans, there must be a system in place to properly vet them.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have been saved. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I was raised by my minister father in a religious setting, and those values have been instilled in me. I believe in loving everyone as Jesus did. Your character is defined by how you treat those around you.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I believe in Christian values, a strong military, I am a 2nd Amendment Advocate, and believe in being fiscally responsible. I believe that limiting government's power over the people is extremely important in a successful and free society.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

In my life, I admittedly lack the education and experience of many of those that hold this office in other districts. I am 30 years old, a veteran, and later this year FINALLY a college graduate. I believe my life experience thanks to my service on Active Duty in the Air Force, paired with my constant drive to further my knowledge on the matters that make a difference to Hoosiers, and Americans as a whole, I am fully qualified to hold the office of State Representative.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a free-thinking American first and foremost. I want nothing but the best for all Hoosiers and Americans. I am willing to work with anyone to better the lives of everyone collectively. I believe in an America where we can all work together for the success of our neighbors, without government interference. If elected, I will not simply walk into the State House and look to follow those that have been there for years. I am running as a leader. I want to see our General Assembly stop spinning their wheels on some things, and push them towards finally acting on issues that matter to the people of Indiana.

Judicial Philosophy

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Disagree

2nd Amendment

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Many of the restrictions that are currently on the books are adequate. I believe that anyone convicted of a violent or heinous crime should not be allowed to own a gun. I believe that law-abiding citizens have the right to protect themselves, especially within the confines of their own home.

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

The first priority must be alleviating the monetary strain on our teachers. I would propose a new program allowing teachers to have money spent on school supplies reimbursed tax-free up to a predetermined amount. The second priority I have is addressing the infrastructure of Indiana and finding a way to expedite projects. Lastly, I want to take a long look at how Indiana can better serve both our currently serving and veteran population.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is sadly something that will likely always exist, even on a very small scale. However, on the whole, I do not believe that racism is a threat to domestic security in this country.
