What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Mankind's corruptibility. "If men were angels, no government would be necessary." - Madison, Federalist No. 51

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was brought up in a Pentecostal home. My dad studied for the ministry under Rev. Jimmy Swaggart and I have several ministers in my extended family. I surrendered my heart to Christ at age 6. I have consistently tithed since I started earning income as a teenager, and I served on the board of my church until term-limited out. My beliefs and values lead me to be a social, fiscal and foreign-policy conservative. My faith - Jesus' call to "do unto the least of these" - led me to adopt a child from Guatemala and rear her to follow Him.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2010 General Election, 2010 Republican Primary, 2012 General Election, 2012 Republican Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Republican Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Republican Primary

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

See my website,, and a partial client list at I've dedicated my life and career to helping elect Christian conservatives to public office and assisting them after they win.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Having provided political law counsel in relation to Republican campaigns in all 50 states, numerous times each, I'm a national expert in the subject matter. I've also served (via appointment by Gov. Bevin) on the Kentucky State Board of Elections. Not only am I clearly the most qualified candidate in either party for Secretary of State, the Commonwealth's chief election official, I'm the only candidate who actually has election experience (beyond just being a candidate). I'm also the only candidate who is trusted by high-level conservative leaders across the country - Vice President Pence, Republican Governors, etc. - as is clear from my legal representation of them.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:; (502) 639-2714

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

* Enact a Photo ID law to replace current law (KRS 117.227) that allows a voter to vote with a “credit card” or other non-Photo ID document. * Improve cybersecurity by requiring that county clerks use password-protected WiFi. * Clean up our voter rolls by removing the deceased and nonresidents. * Unlike our incumbent Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes, I'll work with, not against, the White House, where I have relationships that can benefit our state. * I'll be an advocate for my native Western Kentucky. Currently, none of our constitutional officers are from west of I-65. * Clean up the Secretary of State’s office – no more allegations of misuse of the voter file, political discrimination in hiring, shady no-bid contract deals, or retaliation against whistleblowers – and no indictments.

Criminal Justice

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Agree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.
