Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe life starts at conception and that each life is created in the image of God. Thus, I would overturn Roe v. Wade and the right to abortion. Abortion is a consequence of fear. We have all the resources to eliminate a mother's fear. We need to save our babies. For the last thirty years, I have fought for life as Pro-Life representative at my parish and the Knights of Columbus. I am a friend to and fundraiser for Obria, Mary's Path and LAPSE, three fine organizations fighting to save our babies.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Having served the community in the realm of Social Security Disability for over twenty years in my law practice as an advocate for the disabled, I have a special awareness of the Social Security Administration and its flaws. I would like to see an improvement in Social Security such as centralizing the information within the administration and streamlining the retirement and disability process. The administration has so many layers to it. It is difficult to successfully navigate oneself through the system. I would like to increase the benefits to our retirees and the disabled. The amount paid is not enough. These benefits should be tax free. I would seek Congress to eliminate any future borrowing from the Social Security fund, pay back what is owed, make the benefits tax free and increase the amount of the awards.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

There is so much waste and duplicity within the budget. I would like to see any unnecessary allotment eliminated such as the current Planned Parenthood funding. I would examine the funding provided to foreign nations and illegal alien benefits. I would limit this funding only to what was necessary.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

I do not believe taxpayers should pay off existing student loans. But, I would like to incentivize employer payback programs. I would also like to have the educational institutions have some form of ownership in the our nation's student debt crisis. These institutions need to explain the astronomical cost of tuition. I would like them to use some of their resources to reduce educational costs and fund tuition for as many students as possible if the taxpayers are to provide educational grants.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of Church and State means that there shall not be one national religion sanctioned by the federal government. It does not mean that religion cannot be permitted in government, or in the market place of political thought, or community governance or public expression. In fact, the founders of our great nation, intended that Freedom of Religion and Religious Expression would be a key component of our society as expressed in the First Amendment to the Constitution. Our Founders believed that our country was empowered by the will and grace of our Almighty Father. They never intended for God, Our Father, to be removed from our great nation. And if elected, I will seek to make sure that God is never removed.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Prior to Obamacare, health insurance was more affordable and coverage was better. Obamacare caused the insurance costs to skyrocket and we know the current system cannot be sustained. Therefore, I would seek private sector solutions for the coverage issue. I believe we could find a market based solution for the cost of coverage. Also, we need to examine the rising costs of medical treatment and prescription costs and allow transparency and free market solutions to these issues.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Use all our resources, economic, diplomatic and militarily, to put an end to this hate. We are all created equal and we shall protect the good people of this world from this evil.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I am against the free flow of illegal immigrants into our country. I believe that the chain migration and lottery programs must come to an end. Congress needs to take immediate action in this regard and in securing our borders. Congress must also provide the resources to secure our borders and prevent the separation of families when illegal immigrants are detained. For those illegal immigrants that are here, I would like to see them be issued work visas for those with legitimate employment and paying their taxes. For those that serve our country in a special way by their talents, sacrifice or the military, I would grant them citizenship. They have proven that they love this country and are Americans.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a strong believer in God. I am a Catholic Christian and believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is essential. Everything I do I seek to please our Almighty God and I seek to be one of his faithful servants in my acts and words. Like Saint Francis Said: Preach the gospel. If necessary, use words. I do so for his glory and to make our world a better place. God bless the United States and you and your families.

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I am a strong advocate for the Second Amendment and an individual's gun rights. The current laws are too restrictive. I would like to eliminate the numerous burdensome requirements that exist.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Tax Relief for the Middle Class- Middle Class Tax Cut; 2) Reform Health Care - Improve coverage and affordability. 3) Properly Manage Government resources and eliminate waste like eliminating duplicative agencies and the over 500 million dollars given to Planned Parenthood so that we can fund critical programs like the military, border security and social security.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

We are all created special. We are endowed by our creator with inalienable rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Racism impedes these rights. Racism is the hate of another because they are different. However, being different and diverse in our communities is what makes the United States great. We all have unique talents, gifts and thoughts that when contributed to our society makes our nation great. Thus, Racism is a threat to our domestic security. Racism in any form must be eliminated from our Nation. United We Stand. Divided We Fall.
