Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Disagree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When medically necessary and when a woman chooses it.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Agree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I will guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations but opposing all bills that propose cuts to Social Security benefits.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would cut military spending.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Under ALL circumstances! Higher education shouldn't come with crippling student loan debts.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means that my personal beliefs guide how I live my life but does not mean that as an elected official I can use my personal beliefs to dictate how others live theirs. Elected officials do what's in the best interest of the people they serve not what's in the best interest of their religion.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Agree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Agree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Once elected I will co-sponsor and vote in favor of Medicare for All.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Disagree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Domestic terrorism is much more prevalent in the US and terrorism as a whole needs to be eradicated. The reality is that as long as there is hate and people are oppressed then there will always be the possibility of terrorist acts. You can't address one group of radicals and not all of them.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Disagree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Neutral

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who has not been identified as an associate of a foreign terrorist organization should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Agree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Neutral

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Liberal

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

All of my social media validates my political views.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, I have no criminal record.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

These are scary times that we are living in; we need elected officials who you can trust and have confidence in. I am not perfect and will never claim to be but if elected I will fight with everything that I have to represent the best interests of the people in the 34th district and the United States. My goal is to serve the people, to restore hope, and fight to improve the quality of life for everyone by fighting for living wages, a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, shorter workweeks, and eradicating student loan debt. I only want to serve the people for as long as I am useful to them once I lose my usefulness I will willingly step aside so that someone else can serve. We need transparency in politics and I promise to bring that. I will work hard to gain and keep your trust. My first priority is my relationship with God. My second priority is my family and my third is to be a servant. I hope that I am given the honor to serve the 34th district while in Congress.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Disagree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Criminal background checks, banning military assault rifles, banning machine guns, and bans preventing people convicted of domestic violence.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Agree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Agree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Universal residential and commercial rent control Universal childcare, preschool, and higher education 100% student debt cancellation

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, we can't go a week without seeing a person of color being gunned down, harassed, or assaulted because of the color of their skin. As a black woman, I always worry about my safety when I leave the house. Not because I've done something wrong simply because of the color of my skin. Racist rhetoric is widely accepted under the current administration and people feel more empowered to act of their hate. We have to make racism uncomfortable for the racist so that we will finally see the beginning of its dissipation.
