Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Disagree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Disagree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Neutral

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape, incest, ability of the parents to support their children and refuse to support their children, Risk to the mother's life, but still a decision of the parents.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Neutral

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Neutral

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

With Single Payer, people will live longer (like they do in other countries with socialized medicine). With people living longer, more resources will be needed to support these folks. We need a new frontier such as an international base on the moon where we can make this base self sufficient and start exporting materials and manufactured goods back to any square half kilometer on earth. To get the cooperation of these other countries, we make sure that they receive shipments from the moon base. The riches up there in minerals that we are running out of here on earth can be huge and we can eliminate indebtedness in the world from the moon. Just with the rare earths on the moon we will be able to build enough solar panels to replace all of the oil, coal, and nuclear power plants on earth. Renewable power is a huge game changer for new industries and materials research. The moon can be the jumping off point to Mars. See www.rcr4congress.us for more details.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Currently we spend more on defense than the next 10 countries, at least 4 times as much as the second country to invest in defense. We could cut the defense budget by half and still be safe. As we continue, we can allocate even more from defense to support our people and help bring stability to the rest of the world at the same time. The development of the moon will help make large defensive powers less necessary. Our safety is improved when we get off of the threshold of war.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Absolutely, If we can bail out the banks and auto makers we can end the predatory education loans. As I said before, education is an investment in our futures. Too many students have gone into one job specialty and completed the study, only to find there are no jobs in that specialty. I myself, studied and worked in biology and got my degree, but I also found I had a talent for computers. I was taking computer courses as well as the biology classes. Both proved valuable to my future.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The people of a country can have various belief systems and as citizens of our country, there is only us and not us and them. Ultimately we need to keep our belief system respectful and tolerant of each other as fellow citizens of this country. Hopefully, this tolerance can spread to other countries and we work as cooperative groups of citizens.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Neutral

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Agree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Single Payer Health Care works wonderfully. While we are exporting guns and war, Cuba is exporting Doctors and Nurses to Central and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. Even Venezuela has Single Payer, and we do not. They have single payer because Venezuela trades oil to Cuba for their Doctors to help the Venezuelan people. It is our sanctions that are the problem with Venezuela. It is the Cubans who go into the hot zones in Africa where our CDC won't go. We need to review the charters of the HHS, FDA, VA, and the AMA. They are focusing on service to Corporate America and not America's people. The FDA needs to actually monitor the drug companies and any drug that exceeds a reasonable profit margin can have their patent on that drug revoked and made public so that equivalent drugs can be made at less cost by other vendors. This will cause the price of drugs to plummet to where more people can afford them or the government can provide them cheaply to the needy.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Disagree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Stop our sanctions on their nations and our regime change wars. Our involvement in a negative way, ends up making more terrorists. We are the biggest maker of terrorists and refugees that are flooding Europe and lining up at our southern boarder. Our actions are killing us. We spent over 7 trillion in the Middle East and generated many more terrorists.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Disagree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Well, in that we have been running people out of their countries, we are responsible for them when they show up at our borders. Any country that we have displaced a significant part of the population in regime change wars, these refugees cannot go home, and they are at our door. We used to be a generous people, but we have become self interested and self consumed. We have a lot to relearn. It should also be that we go into regime change wars much more thoughtfully. We also need to return the War Powers Act back to the Congress and remove it from the Executive branch of government. We also need to reopen the investigation of the events of 911. The efforts of www.ae911truth.org are getting impossible to refute.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Agree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Neutral

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Unitarian Universalist and respect the religion of other people who seek to better their relationship with their idea of the supreme as long as they do not interfere with the beliefs of another group.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Liberal

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Here in America, we have Corporate Socialism, but we cannot have a social break for our people. Health is a right that all of our people should enjoy. It is a public health issue and it means we end up with a happier and healthier citizenship. The workers enjoy more healthy days and are more productive if they do not have to worry about the health of themselves and their families. The health insurance Industry kills 45,000 people a year just in the denial of service to the people who pay their premiums. The premiums are destroying half a million families a year. The Affordable Care Act is a gift to the Health Insurance Industry and why we spend 4 times as much for our health care as any other industrialized country and our medical outcomes are horrible. Also, education is an investment in our future. An educated work force is a lot more nimble than an uneducated work force. We also need to have ranked choice voting and get rid of the Primary System.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, never.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

in early September, 2001, I was in the process of setting up WorldVistA and went to London to give a paper at the Open Source Health Care Alliance to present VistA to their attendees. An Information Technology Specialist from a 1,000 bed hospital in Tehran, Iran was in the audience. He asked us how he could get the VistA model, and we burned him a DVD of the documentation and the code and we exchanged emails. We communicated a couple of times and 911 happened and the emails stopped. It would have been a different world if we had been able to help that hospital in Tehran if we could have continued to help them. I studied biology in Florida for the Florida Department of Natural Resources. What I learned from that experience helped me in solving other problems that stumped others. We need new ideas and new solutions for our problems and start framing our world in a more hopeful light. We need to find new ways of solving issues that are beneficial to all involved.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Neutral

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The only legal guns outside of remote gun clubs and hunting will be bolt action single shot guns. In remote gun clubs, rapid fire and semi-automatic weapons can be fired and stored. Any gun must be licensed annually and verified that it is still in the possession of the registered owner.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Agree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Agree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Streamline Voting and Increase Democracy with Ranked Choice Voting with Voter Readable Ballot Verification Methods. 2) Build Holographic Electronic Health Care Record Transfer between hospitals with a hierarchical storage and dispense of patient records to the locality that the patient is scheduled to be. 3) Progressive Term limits - Incumbents have a distinct advantage and so each time that they go to run as incumbent, their threshold increases by 3%. First time 50%, 2nd time 53%, so on

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a antiquated process that needs to be left behind. Education is one way to help move racism out of the picture. We need to learn more about each other and to begin to revel in our differences as well as celebrate how we can improve each other's lives. Tolerance is the best way to improve our understanding of each other and to remove racism.
