What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Currently, the United States is experiencing unprecedented employment. The best way to prevent unemployment is to invest in education. There are two ways to avoid unemployment, the first is to "Do what you love and the money will follow." This philosophy states that, if you follow your passion, you will become good at it. You will put in the time required to master it. The second approach is to look at which industries are creating jobs and get the training needed to enter one of these areas.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The US government's role in the economy can be broken down into two basic sets of functions: it attempts to promote economic stability and growth, and it attempts to regulate and control the economy. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
In the words of James Madison: "The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." Within the separation of powers, each of the three branches of government has "checks and balances" over the other two. Such a system makes concerted action more difficult, but it makes tyranny less likely.
