What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Reducing unemployment begins with education and tax reduction. We need a complete overhaul of education (K-12) in LA. The question is "Why are we educating our children?" We need an educational system that teaches our children to reach their God given potential. Only then can they can become thriving, productive, contributing, self-sufficient citizens with high character and self worth. We need to teach academics including the US Constitution and business classes, but also technical skills, trades, living skills, character and business etiquette...give aptitude tests at an early age to help guide our children. We need colleges to be held responsible for giving degrees for which no employment opportunities are available! Without taxpayers and businesses government would not exist. We need to promote and protect free enterprise/capitalism on local, state and federal levels. Stop governmental smothering and strangling businesses with excessive regulations, policies and excessive taxation

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government can promote the economy through less restrictions, regulations and taxes. I don't believe government should prop up failing businesses at the taxpayer expense. Creativity, supply and demand from the consumer should drive our economy. Thomas Jefferson wrote and I quote" I, however, place economy among the first and most important republican virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers to be feared. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt...I am for a government rigorously frugal and simple."

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Welcome to the healthcare web. People everyday make health choices by what they consume by mouth and activities. Hiding cost of care from the consumers is killing healthcare. Health Care Cost needs transparency. We need free enterprise and ortho molecular medicine. First and foremost we need accountability to promote the true wellness of the patient. Government can't run healthcare. Government sets mandates and corruption lifts its ugly head from pharmaceutical companies(why does a drug that can cure hepatitis C cost $150,000) , to pharmacy benefit managers(benefits from their rebates) to doctors (indoctrinated in school to make millions of dollars). We need properly operated charity hospitals in Louisiana, but because of the increased Medicaid enrollment, patient care could suffer. Also HB72 Fraud Prevention in State Programs failed in Sen. Revenue and Fiscal Affairs...Accountability, deregulation and full disclosure at all levels is a must to clean up our health care industry.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Mankind is innately corrupt (John 3:19). Our founding fathers knew that power corrupts. They escaped a tyrannical system in Britain. They wanted to make sure a dictating, tyrannical overreach of the government would not poison this new government and constitution, so they limited the ability and power of governmental overreach into the peoples' liberties and freedom.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Spiritually, I believe that we are dead in our trespasses and sins until Jesus Christ makes us alive by accepting him as our Lord and Savior. I believe Jesus, when in John 14:6, He said that He is the only way to salvation. I believe that Jesus died, was buried and rose again to save me from my sins. I believe in Judeo-Christian values. I believe that American Judeo-Christian values are the honoring of God-given Life, Liberty and Creativity. Judeo-Christian Values have a foundational role in America, beginning with the Declaration of Independence "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..."

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a B.S. in Education. I have had experience as a restaurant owner, overseeing our restaurant project from ground up and day to day duties. I help establish my husband's law practice for several years. I am a common sense thinker, strong in my convictions and believe I will bring honesty, virtue and fight the fight to advance economic prosperity to my district and the State. I am one of those business owners, among other businesses who pay 49% of the taxes in Louisiana. I have no political experience, but I have a stake in our state, just like President Donal Trump has a stake in our country. Let me ask you a question...just what have we obtained from our policy of reelecting professional politicians? (those seeking power, fame and fortune). Let's put a stop to it!
