Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

A women's body and medical care are her choice. However, I believe education should be provided on abstinence and other forms of birth control. Personally, I am against abortion.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Support additional vocational training programs and implement the availability of vocational training earlier on in the education system. Create job incentives for Mississippi graduates to stay in Mississippi and not leave after earning vocational or higher education degree

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government should have limited involvement in the manipulation of the economy. The consumer should always be the driving force behind the economy.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.

Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe the government should not be in the healthcare industry. As a result of the government's mandates with the Affordable Care Act, insurance policy rates have skyrocketed. The higher rates are with mandatory participation by every US citizen, so rates should have gone down. However, it created a stronghold by health insurance companies to take advantage of citizens. Therefore, I believe the government should repeal the Affordable Care Act, and let the free market work to improve the healthcare industry.

National Security

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

I support sanctuary cities.

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Biblical values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.

Strongly Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Mankind's desire for power resulted in the executive, legislative and judiciary branches of the government. Without the separation, we would suffer tyranny and dictators.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a practicing Catholic and I participate in ministries at our church. I try not to judge people even though it is hard at times. I am 13 year survivor of thyroid and esophageal cancer after which I was told I had less than 2 years to live. I believe God has kept me here to continue to serve my community and attempt to support an environment of integrity, kindness, and morality. I try to live each day as an example to my children, so they know what honest work and love look like in action.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

In practice, I am a conservative especially concerning my morality and finances. The Constitution proclaims the desirability of the rule of law as opposed to rule by the arbitrary judgment or mere fiat of public officials modern public law and the foundations of statecraft the central element of the concept of constitutionalism is that in political society government officials are not free to do anything they please in any manner they choose; they are bound to observe both the limitations on power and the procedures which are set out in constitutional law. As a conservative and a small business owner, I am a capitalist by nature and believe a business approach should be applied when spending money.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been a small business owner for the past 47 years of my life, and I am a father and grandfather, and I am concerned for the future of my grandchildren. In my experience, being a parent is the most qualifying role in my life, because I am want a better future for my children.
