Questionnaire

Please note: Responses are entered electronically by the candidate and are listed verbatim.

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Incest and if is a child under 18 years of age. Rape, there would have to be proof of rape, police report filed within 24 hours of the crime.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Agree

Socialism provides a robust foundation for a stable economy.

Strongly Disagree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Lower taxes on businesses of all sizes and let them make money. People will tend to stop spending if all we do is pay more in taxes. Being self employed for 32 1/2 years, I understand the consequences of higher taxes, it takes away the desire to grow bigger. If the reward to grow bigger is taken away, the economy will stagnate and fall flat. So you lower interest rates and cut taxes to create or spur growth.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Maintain a safe, stable environment for commerce to exist. The government should protect our technology and not allow foreign governments to pirate what is owned here in the USA. Stable currency, competitive interest rates, and not an over bearing government of bureaucracy.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

As a Republican, I want healthcare to remain private. However we have a problem with cost. I would propose a plan where the deductible is set for the working class poor. You would involve something like what medicare is now. Example: low income individual has $15000.00 deductible that government program would pay, but when deductible is met, private pay insurance would kick in. This way the government is capped on the cost. The insured may have to pay $200.00 per month in premium, keeping premium lower for the poor. Basically we funding a deductible on lower income people. They would still have a wellness visit and small co-pay.

National Security

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

Education

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Biblical values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Strongly Disagree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Strongly Agree

iVoterGuide Note:  After the voter guide was published, candidate reported that he intended to answer "Strongly Disagree."

Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.

Strongly Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

They came from a country they no longer liked or supported because of over taxation. They did not want it to be recreated. The federal government is getting to much say now in state and local government is being run. The federal government should never be able to force over bearing restrictions and mandates to state level without funding.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a devout Christian. I believe the only unforgivable sin is the denial of Jesus Christ as your savoir. I also know and believe that our entire way of government was based on Christian beliefs. Anyone that does not believe in our history and support our constitution should not be able to serve in public service. Our values are not to be changed because you do not believe in our way of life and government. You came here for a better way, adapt and adjust and accept.

Qualifications

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I support Trump and building the wall. When you come to our country, you will learn to speak English and abide by our laws. We as a country, do not adapt to your way of life. You learn to operate within our system, which is capitalism. We are not required to accept any foreign way of life or beliefs. You come here in peace and live here in peace, otherwise, you are welcome to go back to your home country.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been self employed all of my life. I started my first company at the age of twenty. I am interested in building an economy in southwest Mississippi. Without new jobs, there is nothing for our children to stay here. We have to create a means of growth and improve our area. Racial tensions are high. It creates a false narrative about our community. There is plenty of blame to go around.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have been self employed since I was 20. I started my first company in 1986. I have experience in retail, and construction. I have built self storage and several retail buildings that I negotiated long term leases up front. I have never failed in any company start up that I have started. I have manged budgets and cost of doing business. I know what it is to make payroll, pay sales taxes, property taxes, and income taxes. People depend on me to get it done.

Criminal Justice

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Agree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Disagree

2nd Amendment

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

Other Important Issues

People should be able to vote without photo identification.
