Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape, incest, protecting the life of the mother.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Completely isolate countries that tolerate or promote it. When an act of terror is committed against America, Americans or our allies, we must have the courage to severely and decisively retaliate and eliminate the perpetrators and their supporters.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Greed for power and money, and the understanding that evil does exist.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Christian. I appreciate and respect all other peaceful faiths.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Increase the relationship between patient and doctor; there is little to no understanding of how much a service, procedure or drug will cost before it's prescribed. We as consumers (patients) must take more responsibility for our own choice of lifestyle and the decisions we make regarding our health. Implementing a basic catastrophic insurance, combined with some form of Health Savings Account and disclosure of medical procedure costs before the service is rendered, will introduce competition and allow us more control of our own healthcare finances. There are ways to improve Obamacare, but I'm in favor of repealing it altogether. I'm not an expert in this, but I know what we have right now is not working and I am willing to look at innovative ideas that result in affordable and accessible healthcare, without taxpayer money

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government needs to develop and implement policies that encourage private business activity: low and reasonable regulations and low taxes.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

The federal tax code needs to be completely discarded and start from scratch. It needs to be simplified, so an average citizen doesn't need to pay someone else to deal with it. Filing our income tax should be simple and fit on a postcard. I'm a proponent of the "flat tax" or some form of a simplified federal tax structure.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Cut taxes and regulations. Elect individuals to public office who understand this.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

This is key to solving one of the biggest budget items. I would start by analyzing what conditions qualifies one to receive Social Security Disability. I suspect there is too much fraud and abuse in SSD. Unfortunately, the retirement age will have to be raised for young workers. Ultimately, the best way to sure-up Social Security, we must have a robust economy that encourages job growth and entrepreneurship.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Former mayor, so I understand how public policy impacts our communities. I'm a war veteran: I understand our military and the challenges veterans face. I'm an engineer: a critical thinker and I know how to solve problems. I'm an immigrant, and I appreciate all this country has afforded me. I can speak convincingly about the urgency to resolve our illegal immigration problem.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

We need principled people to serve in Congress, to resist the temptation to do only what is politically savvy. That's how I conducted myself as a city mayor and that's how I'll conduct myself as a Congressman.
