Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Additional regulations are needed to prevent climate change.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
The United States should help defend Israel from attack by its enemies.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments.
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
I support sanctuary cities.
It is OK for Congress to exempt itself from compliance with laws applicable to all citizens.
I support the death penalty.
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
The United States should protect its sovereignty from the United Nations.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

2010 General Election, 2010 Republican Primary, 2012 General Election, 2012 Republican Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Republican Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Republican Primary
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be allowed only if the mother's physical life is in danger from physical complications (not mental problems) BUT as a physician who has delivered many babies and with the input of my obstetrician friends there is virtually no physical problem that requires abortion of an unborn baby.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
First don't give organizations money that support Islamic terror. Second, since Islam teachings insist on making the government enforce Sharia law, and because these teachings also mandate that non-muslims be made slaves who must pay a tax if they practice their religion, and because the teachings promote death to infidels (this excludes people of the book, Jews and Christians)it is my opinion that the religion of Islam should be outlawed in the U.S. the same as communism, when it was proven to promote the violent overthrow of the government, was outlawed. In foreign affairs we should continue with policies to protect our citizens and keep the high seas (and now airways) safe and free to use in the same manner as when the U.S. went to war with the Barbary pirates in the early 1800's who, by the way, were Muslims acting in accordance to Sharia law forcing the U.S. (and other nations) to pay 1/4 of our national expenditures to them.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Best summarized by Calvinist doctrine: "Man is totally depraved and inclined to all evil." That is: Government, run by men, must be severely restricted so that it doesn't become tyrannical.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian believing that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. My moral values derive therefrom.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
All the terms above have had so many contradictory definitions that I am loathe to identify with any of them. The federal constitution limits the federal government's actions tremendously. The current philosophy seems to be that the federal government should do absolutely anything that the legislature rules. It has become a god taking care of every need (actual and imagined). It has assumed control over everything you do. Note that if you tear the federally mandated tag off a mattress you may be put in prison, or killed if you resist the mandated arrest, fines or incarceration. When we discontinue all the federal programs that are not authorized under the constitution, the budget will be about 10% of what it is right now. Since 1945 when we ended the last war that was fought legally (i.e. the congress declared war as mandated by the constitution) this nation has been continually at war with few interludes in between illegally. Also, executive orders are illegal.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Let the states legislate as they see fit and keep the federal government out of regulating and supporting medical care (except in the military and Indian reservations where it has the legal authority to do so.)
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Maintain fair weights and balances; enforce interstate contracts, enact international treaties that favor the U.S.; protect our ships and aircraft on the high seas and airways; uphold an honest currency (e.g. gold or gold-backed)and regulate interstate commerce.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
Abolish the Internal Revenue Service laws. The federal government won't need that income anyway when it reverts only to programs authorized under the U.S. Constitution.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Lessen taxes and onerous business regulation. Curtail or abolish generous federal disability and unemployment benefits.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Stop raiding and borrowing from the social security fund and leaving IOU's that future generations must pay off. But again this is not authorized in the federal constitution. The states my institute such programs if they like, and the individual should be encouraged especially with reduced taxes to provide for his/her own retirement.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My education demonstrates that I can learn and apply that knowledge. From my statements you know what goals and direction I seek. The particulars change from day-to-day and therefore decisions and actions will change.
E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I was asked once in an interview: "What committee would you like to chair?" I answered: "The committee hasn't been formed yet, but I want to chair the committee to repeal laws." If elected, I would support much of what President Trump is trying to accomplish with the end goal of lessening federal government's rule over us to only that authorized by the U.S. Constitution.
