Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Disagree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

I voted in these elections:

2010 General Election, 2010 Primary, 2012 General Election, 2012 Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Primary

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is at risk and in the cases of rape and/or incest - though I would hope that the latter categories receive counseling prior to making that decision.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Primarily the United States should stop interfering in the affairs of other countries. Thomas Jefferson said it best, "Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none." Of course, if these groups are a direct threat to national security they should be dealt with, but our current foreign policy involves unwarranted and unnecessary intrusion that often results in unintended consequences.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The propensity for humans to become corrupt, particularly when they are in positions of power. As Lord Acton said, "Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely"

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe all life is made in the image of God and is therefore sacred and should be protected. While I am personally conservative in my views, but I do not believe Christians should impose our views on the greater society through legislation and government regulation.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

A conservative/liberal scale of issues tends to oversimplify positions. I believe in Free Minds, Free Markets and Free People. I support individual rights to life, liberty and property. So regardless of my personal convictions on any given subject, I will always support the right of the indvidual as expressed in the Bill of Rights. How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Government subsidies, over regulation and interference in the healthcare industry has caused prices to be out of reach for most people without insurance. I believe the free market will offer the best solutions at afforadable prices if we get the government out of healthcare as much as possible.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government's role should be to enforce contract law and provide a safe, stable monetary policy in order for businesses to thrive. The government should under no circumstance bail out, subsidize or protect certain sectors of the economy over others.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

I would ultimately like to see a Federal government so small that it would be funded through tariffs, duties and excise taxes. Until that happens I think we should consider repealing the income tax and work on something like the FAIR tax, a consumer tax based on items consumed.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Low taxes, low regulation and free trade.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I don't think we can. The structure is unsustainable. We should begin talking about an opt out option for younger Americans while funding the promise to the elderly and those approaching retirement.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a BS in Finance and a Master's in Pastoral Studies. I'm currently enrolled in the MBA program at University of Louisiana - Lafayette. That being said, education is not my primary qualifier. I have a deep love for the Constitution and for free market economics, I also meet the age requirement to seek the office of U.S. Representative. My passion for individual freedom, the Consitution and free markets are my greatest qualifications, not anything I did in school or life accomplishments.
