Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

No Answer

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be allowed to the extent that current Federal law allows. Congress has the responsibility to make and change abortion laws. The Judiciary Branch of government has the function of interpreting those laws. If the Judiciary interprets abortion law and Congress does not approve of the interpretation, then Congress must have the courage to change the law. I believe that a minor child or adult could have an abortion to save her life.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Fighting an idea is very difficult. I believe that most people want to live in peace but some are radicalized into extreme beliefs. It is the latter, although a small minority, that have to be addressed with this issue. I would have to initially rely upon government intelligence reports to bring me up to speed regarding what proposals have come before my term before I would make my suggestions regarding the topic. Of concern could be: 1. Banking; 2.) Immigration; 3.) Economic sanctions; 4.) Education; 5.)Inter-governmental relations; 6.) Employment; 7.) Military; 8.) Intelligence and more areas than I can list here.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The Founder's wanted to create equal and separate branches of government that would become a check and balance against each other and not have one branch become all powerful. They also wanted the Federal government to have a limited number of powers. Any powers not specifically given to the Federal government in our Constitution were to be given to the individual States.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spiritual beliefs and values are private. I am a Christian.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I know many people who do NOT want healthcare coverage forced upon them. However, some proposals to help the system are: Decrease more government administrative regulations imposed on physicians and the industry to help reduce their administrative work. Help citizens to be able to purchase health insurance across state lines to increase competition among insurance companies and drive premium costs down. Tailor make healthcare plans to the coverage needed by the individual. Limit lawsuit awards. Allow lifetime medical coverage but limit the physical damages award of the court. Create more types of Health Savings Accounts for the Public. Have the government go to bid on lowering drug costs like the V.A. Audit to reduce waste and fraud.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The Government should not pick winners. It should reduce overburdening regulations. Regulate its spending. (I'd say that $23,000,000,000,000 of debt is enough and will probably impact the living conditions of our children and grandchildren for years to come.) Reduce taxes so that more money is allowed to be spent by the Public and used for investment. Audit to reduce waste and fraud.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

I am a Certified Public Accountant who primarily has been dealing in tax during the last 35 years. Most of the income tax law adjustments I proposed when I ran for the US House in 2014 are contained in President Trump's new tax law that went into effect on January 1, 2018. I believe that we will see an increase in government revenues during the next fiscal year. The government must wisely account for these new revenues.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Follow items listed in 31 and 32 above.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security Disability went insolvent in 2016. Congress covered the shortfall by transferring funds from another account. Well, in three years the Disability Program once again goes insolvent and your Retirement Program goes insolvent in 15 years. I've complained about these issues since 2010. It was drawn to my attention by the Simpson-Bowles Commission. Their report title was 'The Moment of Truth.' It proposed measures that could have repaired our National Debt and Social Security. It would have incorporated $2.9 trillion in spending cuts and $2.3 trillion in new taxes over a 10 year period. It was trying to balance our national spending and reduce our National Debt. It was admired by most members of Congress but no politician was brave enough to vote for it. None voted because most politicians believed that they would have 'lost' their jobs in the following election if they had voted for it but they would have saved our Country. (See #37)

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am a Certified Public Accountant who has been involved in tax law since 1975 and have owned and run my private tax firm since 1983. I have a Bachelor of Science in General Business and a Master of Science in Taxation that have assisted me with my career. I believe that I can apply the skills learned in practice to help our Nation. I ask that you give me the opportunity to apply them.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

#4 Our government should not be in the 'marriage' business. Civil ceremonies that establish legal rights - Yes. #34 Continued: Reduce the number of Social Security programs. Means test Social Security payments to wealthy individuals. Adjust normal retirement age and size of Federal gov't. Audit to reduce waste and fraud. #37 -During the past 30+ years, some actions of our Congress and Presidents have eroded and ignored substantial parts of our U.S. Constitution. Some Federal Court decisions have not helped either! The NSA admits that it has been spying on us. It has intercepted all of our text messages since 2011! What happened to our Constitutional Right to privacy? Our Constitution must be followed by our political leaders in order to get our Nation back on track.
