Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I have been passionately pro-life since before I can remember. The federal government has absolutely no authority to utilize taxpayer funds for subsiding the healthcare industry to begin with, let alone the practice of providing abortions. I would not only support pro-life legislation, I will cosponsor every piece that I can.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Recent events across the world have demonstrated how dangerous it is to allow radical regimes access to nuclear weapons. Yet, the Obama Administration (with the help of Rep. Ruiz), was soft on state sponsors of terrorism. Not only did we give Iran $150 billion (money that even John Kerry admitted would terrorism), we also gave them a clear path towards building nuclear weapons. I will only support foreign policies that put the interests of the U.S. and our allies first. That includes defeating ISIS for good so that we can end the spread of extremist Islamic terrorism.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The Founders new that if one branch of government was given to much power, it would only be a matter of time until that branch abused it and tried to take over the power of the others. By carefully defining and separating the powers given to our government, the Founders ensured that our federal government would not become powerful enough that they could infringe upon the rights of us as American citizens.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised Catholic and I believe in a higher being that all humans should answer to—this idea seems to be missing today. I believe in God, family, the goodness in people, charity, and giving.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

As a small business owner, I have seen the detrimental effects of Obamacare first-hand. Premiums have skyrocketed and patients have less choice. We all have friends and family members who have lost their coverage and access to their longtime doctors, despite promises that this would never happen. Many workers have had their hours cut and others driven into the underground economy. I will vote to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a more responsive system that can adapt to the needs of Americans and ensure that those with pre-existing conditions can obtain quality healthcare at a reasonable price.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government should do what it can to boost the economy, but this doesn't mean putting more regulations in place or promoting policies that end up hurting the American worker in the name of improving the economy. We have to make sure that our trade policies treat Americans citizens as fairly as our many trading partners. I will promote free trade policies, while keeping in mind that we have allowed ourselves as a country to be taken advantage of for too long. Although President Trump’s policies have brought many companies back to the U.S. who had moved overseas, we must continue this effort to prevent others from moving to countries with more beneficial policies.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

High taxes make it incredibly difficult to live the American Dream: buy a house, send your kids to college and enjoy retirement. I’m committed to fighting for common sense tax reform that will create a fair and transparent tax system which will strengthen our economy and incentivize job creation. Our tax code must be simplified, and taxes on all wage earners should be reduced to ease the burden on middle class families. It’s insane that our corporate tax is the highest in the entire world – twice as high as the European Union. We can’t just complain about American companies doing business offshore, we need to give them a reason to bring those trillions of dollars and jobs back to America.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The best way to bring down unemployment to do create an environment in which businesses can thrive, grow, and create more quality jobs. Regulation and high taxes make such an environment more difficult to achieve, and have the effect of causing American business to move overseas. We have already seen unemployment go down under President Trump, and we need to continue his progress in order to get unemployment down even more.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

As it currently stands, our Social Security is unsustainable. In order for it to benefit those that have already paid into it, it needs to be seriously reformed. We also need to reform the Medicare system so that we ensure that those who truly need help are getting it.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have spent the past three decades building a multi-facetted career in business, philanthropy, entertainment, and agriculture. As one of a small, rare group of actors in Hollywood who are public about their conservative beliefs, I entered the national political spotlight as a prime time featured speaker at the Republican National Convention in 2016. I spoke passionately about small business, women in business, and securing the American Dream for future generations. I strongly believe that the 36th district has not been effectively represented by Rep. Ruiz and his leaders--Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama. I have been endorsed by conservative leaders across the country because of my diverse track record of successes that will enable me to be an aggressive candidate and Congresswoman who will be a principled and effective, results-driven leader in Congress.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

On the issue of gay marriage, I was raised to believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, however, I do not believe it is the federal government's place to interfere in the issue.
