Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life of the mother

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Secure our borders and take an active roll finding and eliminating radical cells around the world. Prohibit any form of Sharia law within the borders of the United States.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The framework of the constitution is based on the bible and Judeo Christian values. The founders wanted to divorce themselves from the European oppressive forms of government that was based on monarchies. The intent was to form a government where the government worked for and was responsible to its citizens. The separation of power into three branches of government was established to prevent any one branch from exerting absolute control over the people.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I hold to the belief that the bible is inerrant and God inspired. God selected people over a period of several thousand years to document His desire for our lives and relationships. The bible contains specific warnings, such as in abortion, and sexual relations with those outside the marriage relationship defined as one man and one woman. The bible is not intended as a book of what people can't do, rather it is a guide to protect His people from the destructiveness of sin. The bible is characterized as a lamp, lighting my path as I journey through life, and a guide to prevent my loosing my way and purpose of life. I characterize myself as a conservative Christian with a desire to help others succeed in their journey through life.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

As the former pastor of two churches, the congregations of both churches have heard my sermons over the past ten years. My work, as a member of Varnville First Baptist Church, is testimony to my beliefs. On occasion, our Pastor Dr Rev. Tommy Kelly affords me the opportunity to preach during his absence. I work with the children of our church in AWANA's, and the teacher of the senior men's Sunday School class. I am also take part in a men's morning prayer group.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I do not have a particular healthcare plan in mind. If elected, healthcare availability for all Americans would be a priority. There are to many Americans that fall through the cracks and left without any form of healthcare. Our elderly, veterans, and other groups have been let without adequate necessary health care.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government needs to hold down taxes and spending. There needs to be a continued reduction in burdensome regulations that delay and prevent business from growing and providing jobs. The states need to be allowed to run the affaires of their respective states without being overly restricted by the federal government. Close our southern border, so illegals will not take jobs from our citizens.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

I support what the President has done to reduce taxes. It is of my mind that the nation should adopt a flat tax that would apply to individuals and business alike. I would be in favor of a 10 to 15 percent flat tax. This would reduce the need of volumes of tax laws and loop holes that currently allow some business to pay little or no tax.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Reduce regulations on business that delay expansion and the creation of new industries. In our schools, reinstate vocational training programs that would prepare young people to enter the workforce.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Remove from congress the ability to us social security funds for any purpose other than social security. Congress needs to repay to the social security all funds that have been taken from social security over the years. Remove social security tax caps. Set income limits for social security recipients. Create individual retirement accounts for all Americans

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have extensive business experience. In the past I held the position of an Electronic Environmental Test Lab Manager. Held the position of Airport Manager, and owned an aviation company. I am retired from the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. For three years, I held the position of factory manager with 300 employees. My last managerial position was as the Executive Director of a health care practice with two locations.
