Questionnaire

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The terms and conditions outlines in the law of the land -- Roe v. Wade.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

End all the wars overseas in the Middle East and elsewhere.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

It is all too easy for the Executive Branch to become too strong, as witnessed when the U.S. was still under British rule. It is necessary to define, separate and limit powers to protect against any one particular branch becoming too powerful and taking away important liberties.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a humanist who believes that human beings are connected to everything around us and so must understand, respect and learn to leave in harmony with nature and the universe around us.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Liberal

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

No answer -- a quick search on google will verify this.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe in Improved Medicare for All.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government should establish a living wage, not a minimum wage.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

The tax code should be truly progressive. There should be a millionaires' tax and corporate taxes should become a much larger share of the federal, state, county and municipal budget -- as it was 50 years ago, before the U.S. Congress began to change tax laws in order to favor corporations.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Provide a large-scale public works/employment program, such as occurred under FDR in the creation of the New Deal. We need a new Green deal to protect the environment, provide sustainability and jobs for all.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The U.S. government must pay back to the Social Security Trust Fund the $3 trillion it owes it after repeated "borrowing" from the lock box. That would go a long way to ensuring those benefits will be there for all who have paid, continue to pay and will pay into it.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have spent the last 40 years working as an activist in NJ and internationally -- twenty years as a grass roots environmental activist and twenty years as a peace and justice activist. I also have a Masters in Public Administration. I ran 3 times as a Green in 1996 (Ralph Nader's vice-presidential running mate in NJ), 1997 Green Party candidate for Governor and 1998 Green Party candidate for U.S. Congress.
