Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Disagree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is threatened.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Stop engaging in proxy and civil wars in Muslim countries where we have no legitimate self-defense interests. Stop foreign aid and support to Muslim countries that aid or create islamic terrorists. (Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc...) Increase human intelligence gathering. Screen immigrants.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The founders knew we had inalienable rights that governments wouldn't allow. By fracturing the government and limiting it's power, they ensured that the people of this new nation would be free. Unfortunately our government has since grown excessively large and powerful, ignoring the Constitution and the limits place upon it. As a result we have lost most of our freedom and liberties so dearly won.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My relationship with God is a personal one based upon scripture that sets my moral compass, not a social one based on labels and denominations.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

End all government regulation and interference with healthcare and insurance so the market can provide competitive affordable care. Create a safety net through free clinics at every county health department funded through public/private partnerships using our current "sin" taxes on alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis as well as charitable contributions from churches and individuals following Christ's commands to "heal the sick" and "give as freely as you have received".(Matt 10:8) Make every county health department a teaching clinic so that we can lessen the shortage of trained medical providers. This would not only improve access and quality of health care, it would allow the savings of over $500Billion every year.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

None. Stop government interference with the economy. Cut spending significantly so that taxes and debt can be reduced and allow a free market economy to fix itself.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Shift more to a "user fee" model where practicable such as fuel taxes for roads, sin taxes for healthcare, etc... Cut spending significantly so the debt and tax burden can be lessened and interest payments eliminated.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Get the government out of the free market.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Eliminate extraneous SS programs such as the disability programs where much of the fraud occurs. There are an abundance of affordable long and short term disability insurance plans available to meet this need. This by itself would make Social Security solvent again. Once solvent, we can work on improvements. Lower the payroll withholding rate to 5%. Lower the retirement age back to 65. Allow a degree of individual control of SS accounts. Make them defined contribution plans instead of ponzi-scheme defined benefit plans.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1990 with a degree in Political Science. I have 5 years of US military experience including 2 deployments to the Persian Gulf. I have nearly two decades of experience in public schools as both a certified classroom teacher and in school security. I have 3 years of experience serving on the board of directors of a multi-million dollar non-profit public utility. I am a dedicated public servant with experience as a volunteer firefighter and volunteer with numerous charitable organizations.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

It hasn't mattered which party has been in control, Republican or Democrat, the result has been the same bad government. If you want to really drain the swamp; if you really want hope and change to believe in, you need to vote differently. The nation is over $21Trillion in debt and we're adding over a $trillion to that every year. That's a crushing debt future generations won't be able to pay, and is the single largest threat to our nation. Social Security is going insolvent - mismanagement that will leave our elderly with nothing to show for the money they paid in for years. Average Americans spend more of their hard earned income on taxes than they do on food, clothing, and housing combined. Our current Republican representative is part of this problem, he helped make this mess and he's still making it worse. Vote Libertarian for change. Less government. Lower taxes. More freedom.
