Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To preserve the life of the mother. In cases of incest, after case appropriate counseling.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We have given safe haven to the Muslim Brotherhood/CAIR (HAMAS) in our United States, which I believe to be a moral and a tactical error. Despite the fact that the MB has been designated a terrorist group by the UAE, Egypt and found to be such by the UK, we have been walking on eggshells, afraid to contest their active infiltration into American politics and bureaucracy. I have stated publicly several times that the MB and its affiliate groups should be designated terrorist and its members denied access to sensitive positions.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Those who hold power and their bureaucracies are, by nature, greedy to acquire ever more control. The separation of powers among the three branches of government, the specificity of powers given each branch, the checks and balances....and the leaving of all other matters to the states and local government were meant to preserve the over arching rights of the individual to their basic freedoms and the full enjoyment and personal control of their life, liberty and property.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Old school Lutheran. Raised in Swedish Augustana Synod. Confirmed in Missouri Synod.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Before the Democrats began their gradual process of interfering with and working to nationalize health care in America, which accelerated under Obama with the "Affordable Care Act", America had a fairly decent health care system partitioned by State with the finances overseen by State Insurance Commissioners and Departments of Health in each of the states. We need to return to something similar, perhaps creating "Health Associations", which might be a good deal cheaper and more effective and responsive to local citizen control than the bureaucratic monstrosity Obama built. The federal government should not be trying to control individual health care in Minnesota remotely from Washington, D.C. It creates artificial walls between the patient and physician.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The less role government has, the better. Such involvement as they do have should be focused on removing obstacles to investment, commerce and profit and to let the economy grow itself. High taxes and unreasonable controls created by bloated bureaucracies have slowed American economic development and job creation for decades. It's time to take the chains off.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

A consumption tax might work better than an income tax. We could save a great deal of taxpayer money immediately by simply cleaning up fraud which the IRS currently winks at. In example, the Child Care Credit, which illegal immigrants use to scam the U.S. out of billions annually, could simply be cut off for non citizens.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Unleash the economy, as in 31., above.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

By removing benefits for those who have not paid into the system. By having Congress return to a "lock box" type investment fund the billions on billions they have "borrowed" (stolen?) from SS over the decades. Stop talking about SS as an "entitlement:. These are funds paid in and OWNED by the American taxpayer and their employers. THEIR money. Treat it as such.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Unlike many officeholders, I am not an attorney, nor have I been brainwashed by an Ivy League College into believing in government by an elite cadre who "know better: than the average American. I have been "boots on the ground", learning as I go, dealing with the day to day problems every working American faces. My kaleidoscope of education and experience and my training as a systems analyst puts me in a unique position to serve as a problem solver at the national level...It is my hope that if I am elected, the average Minnesotan would feel that my being in Washington would be the closest thing possible to they themselves sitting in that Senate seat.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
