Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape, incest, danger to the mother's life.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Understanding that absolute power corrupts and that all men are flawed, our Framers separated powers between the branches of our government to create checks and balances on the activities of the other branches. They also intended to limit the power of the central federal government and to reserve more powers to the states to keep government in the control of the people.

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Here is Sheriff Wayne Ivey's endorsement message: “Tyler Sirois is a friend to law enforcement and strong supporter of public safety. As Executive Director of the State Attorney’s Office, Tyler has demonstrated his leadership abilities and fiscal conservatism. As president of the Friends of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Brevard, Tyler is committed to supporting mental health services and programs vital to the health and safety of Florida families and businesses. I am confident that as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, Tyler will be a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and tough on crime. For all of these reasons, Tyler Sirois has earned my endorsement as our next State Representative.”

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

While collecting the 1160 petition signatures necessary to qualify for the ballot, I learned that parents and grandparents want vocational and technical training programs returned to our schools so our children are prepared to enter the workforce. Welders, plumbers, and electricians are honorable professions and our education systems should treat them as such.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Allow the free market to determine costs. I would also offer incentives for pools and cooperatives that establish employee health clinics.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Reducing regulations and bureacratic red tape. I also think that preparing students to enter the workforce following high school graduation is key. As a small government conservative, I believe in limited government and the power of free enterprise. Property rights, low taxes, limited regulation, and letting the free market work are important ideas that I fully support.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

In my current role as the Executive Director of the State Attorney’s Office, I see first-hand the challenges of our legal system as well as the challenges facing our society in the form of drug abuse and child abuse. If we can expand educational opportunities through vocational and apprenticeship programs, I believe we can put more people on the path to gainful employment, create a stronger workforce for Florida businesses, and reduce societal problems all at the same time.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Thank you for your consideration. I believe in Brevard County and Florida’s future. My involvement with the Regional Aerospace Workforce Initiative, the State Attorney’s Office, and the Children’s Advocacy Center has provided me with a unique perspective. The bottom line is this: college is not the best destination for every child. We need to do more to connect educators and business leaders to prepare graduates to enter the workforce. Workforce participation translates into a paycheck and a paycheck contributes to self-sufficiency and confidence. Vocational and technical training opportunities and apprenticeships provide the means for families to access the economy. I hope this access and empowerment will create a more capable workforce and a stronger Florida economy as well as improve our society by driving down in instances of addiction and child abuse.
