What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Strict immigration controls, including a travel ban for those entering the country from nations struggling with radical Islamic terrorism The United States needs to hold regional governments accountable if they funnel money overtly or covertly to terrorist groups. Applying the necessary political and economic pressure, including sanctions, to compel rogue governments in the Middle East to cease their sponsorship of terrorism. Ease the rules of engagement for U.S. troops to defend and protect themselves against terrorist acts.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

America's Founding Fathers did not want a tyrannical form of government. Instead they wanted states to function independently but similarly and they wanted a citizen government. In order to do so they created three branches of government to serve as a check and balance on each other.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Obamacare should be repealed and replaced. Any new program should be modeled after programs currently available to members of Congress and federal employees. Any replacement should include the ability to choose your own doctor, a choice in medical plans, a comprehensive package that ensures coverage for pre-existing conditions, affordable medication and the ability to purchase from any insurer.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government's role in the economy is to help correct market failures, or situations where private markets cannot maximize the value that they could create for society. This includes providing public goods, internalizing externalities, and enforcing competition. The federal government guides the overall pace of economic activity, attempting to maintain steady growth, high levels of employment, and price stability. By adjusting spending and tax rates (fiscal policy) or managing the money supply and controlling the use of credit (monetary policy), it can slow down or speed up the economy's rate of growth.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Tax code changes implemented by President Trump for individuals are set to expire in 2025. These changes need to be made permanent. Congress needs to explore a "flat tax" in which every American pays the same percentage of tax or alternatively a "fair tax" in which taxpayers on taxed based on consumption of goods and services.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The best way to bring down unemployment is to: 1. grow the economy. 2. create fair trade and tariff agreements with other countries that don't penalize or give away American goods and services 3. provide unemployment insurance benefits that gradually decreases benefits for workers until they are able to recover from their unemployment situation and help to incentivize them to stay in the job market 4. limit the length of time non-citizens can be employed and the number of VISA's granted for employment purposes and ENFORCE THE LAW 5. provide job-training and incentives for students to enter into areas of study that are critical employment opportunities for the United States in the future

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social security is an earned benefit NOT an entitlement. Only those individuals that have paid into it should receive benefits. Political refugees, illegal immigrants and minors should be excluded from any payments from the fund. Social security should be self contained (invested monies from recipients should be reinvested in a Social Security Benefit Trust and the interest received put back into the program) Congress should be prohibited from spending the money from Social Security in any other program.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Constitutionally, the federal government should play a limited and minimalist role in our daily lives. Many of the answers provided above were directed at the role of the government rather than the issue identified in the question. I oppose burdening our citizens with unnecessary government regulation, bureaucracy and laws.
