Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Under no circumstances.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Cut off funding to countries that harbor terrorist' and promote radical Islam. Support our ally Israel and be friends with countries in the middle east that have demonstrated the ability to engage in peaceful democracy.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The fallen nature of mankind requires the boundaries of laws to keep him from resorting to his selfish, power seeking tendencies.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he came to earth to die for my sins. Without God's presence in my life I am nothing. I believe he loves and cares for His children of which I am one. God's grace is sufficient for my day to day needs and my faith in Him is what guides my life.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The decision making power to provide affordable healthcare should reside less in Washington DC and more in the hands of the doctors who provide it. Empowering patients to make their own healthcare decisions and opening the purchase of insurance across state lines will begin the process of lowering healthcare costs across the board.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government should get out of the way and let the free market work.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

It should be simplified and rates lowered across the board. Ideally I would switch to a flat or fair tax but in the mean time we should lower rates across the board and return more money to the people who earn it.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

To remove burdensome regulations that currently exist on American businesses by lowering and simplifying taxes to spur economic growth.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

We must evaluate our Social Security System and its long term sustainability. All options must be on the table including shifting the age of retirement for future beneficiaries and changing the benefit structure in order to keep Social Security solvent.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I served eight years on the Arlington City Council, the past six years as Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector and shoveled manure on a farm growing up.
