The final version of the Declaration of Independence declares: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Inalienable or unalienable "refers to that which cannot be given away or taken away".

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an evangelical Christian who highly esteems God's word. I remain incredibly grateful for living in a country with such a rich, judeo-christian heritage. I believe the bible informs, or, should inform public policy. The bible determines my position on policy. I believe the bible is only restrictive for our good and well-being. I will not support any policy which contradicts the proper interpretation of scripture nor any policy which erodes the sovereignty of the United States, her military, nor that which weakens her economy.

None. I'm very new to the public arena.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I enjoyed the effort communicated by Rick Santorum, the Graham-Cassidy bill. I would enthusiastically support it. It's reported as an effort to repeal and replace Obamacare by block granting the Affordable Care Act to the states, allowing local governments to create healthcare systems that work best for the local populations. Santorum’s plan, sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), and Dean Heller (R-NV), would also eliminate Obamacare’s individual and employer mandate. Sen. Rick Santorum told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview that the Graham-Cassidy bill idea would “put a stake in the heart of single-payer health care.”

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Well, funny you should ask. I was able to complete, or, am now in the final stages of completing a brief study while a member of the Coleridge Institute, class #8, focused on economic development. I studied the health of Missouri's middle class. While hovering at nearly 47%, policy makers should be considered for its continued strengthening. I would recommend a locally focused effort on strategically chosen targets which would include criteria for firm age and firm size. The foundation of any approach I'd take is captured in the following article: 1. Offer the right kind of job training. (not necessarily focused on entry level) 2. Build existing local businesses rather than trying to attract new ones. 3. Help entrepreneurs negotiate the bureaucracy. 4. Find new ways to get universities involved. 5. Change the tax code to facilitate self-funding.

My experience as an analyst within corporate america provided a disciplined framework by which I could enable those above me to make thoughtful, weighed decisions concerning operations, strategy and business health. My experience as an analyst within corporate america provided a foundation for evaluating urgent options of consequence with proven tools, reasonably void of emotion. As a product of the inner city and, the church, I have the unique vantage point of growing up economically challenged and yet realizing sufficient provision, and, responsibility in Christ.
